good job traxxas ! a frontflip usually just needs full brakes. if you hit the reverse, it will be a reverse flip. reverse flip is a trick of its own because you can double it !

I did a flip off a dirt jump, crashed it and went to get it out of the tumbleweeds. Decided I didn’t want to walk all the way back to where I was jumping from so I stood at the end of the ramp. I jumped the truck (it’s not a steep ramp and it levels out at the top instead of dropping again). It was mid-flip and I thought to Myself “well this was stupid”. Moral of the story bones are stronger than rc cars. Hit myself at full speed and broke the car

CustomRCMods you can make nice ramps out of medium to large size cardboard boxes. You just lean it on its side with the opening on its side like it tipped over, put 2 slices along both edges then cut it up some and tape it up good. It's hard to explain but you will understand. Also there is a video on yt if you search it.

if you get some ply wood and a few 2x4's you can make a pretty good ramp or loop

I just throttle down and finesse it while in the air on my other channel I have a few small jumps and stuff until I can get better shocks and aluminium parts check it out if you want Its "Rc Spartan" annoyingly it'll probably come up with the rc boat so you gotta search Rc Spartan and then channel

Traxxas just offer a chassis that can be over powerd with infinite gearing options. Thats what we love. Everything else traxxas we hate. Diffs, elecs and most of all the traxxss bosses and lawyers. Traxxas has recently killed off. Arrma Durango & Proline pro MT truck. So proline made its own fully proline chassis that will kill the trx 1ten stuff. Plus its already upgraded and we choose our own elecs. Bye bye traxxas youve wasted too many chances. Now you are a scummy company.

Hook me up with that job, lol, don't know who was running your vehicles last year at the NHRA drags in Kent Wa, but they almost made me quit buying Traxxas, they couldn't land half of there jumps and took 45 minutes to fix what looked to be a blown shock cap, I'm pretty deep in the RC game, owning everything at one point or another, with the exception of 4-tech, and spartan, and a few axial crawlers too, can't wait for your crawler with the locking diffs, and 4-tech 2.0

I have a Traxxis 4x4 Slash. I heard the video say to use a LiPo 2-Cell battery, any reason why I can't use a 3-cell? I have the both 2-cell and 3-cell batteries.

The Xl-5 ESC in your Slash 4x4 is only capable of handling the Voltage (7.4V) from a 2 Cell Lipo and (8.4V) from a NIMH battery. However, if you install the optional VXL 3S Power up system in the truck, you're then able to run up to a (11.1v) 3 Cell Lipo battery.

@Traxxas - For the switch flip I'm looking closely at that video and when she says "tap to break" it shows the hand applying forward throttle. The flipping direction also seems to indicate that a forward torque is applied. Is this because from the frame of reference of going backward off the ramp "breaking" is forward? Any clarification is appreciated - I've been watching that trick in a couple of your other videos and trying to figure it out. It's ridiculous cool!

Thanks for the question, Brett. Yes because the model starts in reverse we are stopping the wheels by moving the trigger forward once. A little bit of forward throttle may help to complete the flip (by moving the trigger forward a second time--usually just slightly for this trick), depending on the model and the size of the jump.

Generally, a 4WD with brushless power and LiPo batteries is the ideal setup. A 2WD may be able to flip on very large jumps if it has a LiPo and brushless power system. Thank you for watching!

V8 King do you mean full size or the 1/16 e revo? either way though, get the e revo because it has more ground clearance and will do flips easier than the slash because of the larger tires. and it will do pretty much anything that the full size one can, including flips, standing backflips, and go 50+ MPH, it may not be as fast as the full size e revo, but trust me, 50MPH is pretty damn fast for how small it is.

I really would recommend a certain vehicle based on the terrain you run. Tight trails, probably better off a slash as the open wheel design of the e-revo can get hung up on close quartered trees, but not very much ground clearance. The e-revo brushless will be faster, taller, able to clear taller obstacles, but will need a little more open terrain. My first was the Revo 3.3, I bought one for my brother (Stampede 4x4), I'm looking at getting the Summit, TRX-4, and the X-Maxx as well.
