For all of you having problems with downloading vita shell after downgrading.... DO NOT DELETE VITA SHELL AFTER THE FIRST INSTALL!! Delete moduru and H-encore as normal but leave vitashell on there. This problem stumped me for days but vitashell 1.92 is vitashell 1.92 so you don't need to get rid of it. If you've already deleted it, upgrade back to 3.73 and start again and just don't delete vitashell. Bit of a headache but at least now you you know 👍😉👍 Failed

For 0syscall6 don't use the HFW version if you follow this guide. That's only for hybrid firmware, which this guide doesn't use, and non developers shouldn't use. So only download and use "0syscall6.skprx" Also install the NoNpDrm plugin which "(allows for encrypted games and applications to be used)" otherwise you won't be able to play backed up games (e.g. downloaded from pkgj): github.com/TheOfficialFloW/NoNpDrm/releases I also recommend following along on vita.hacks.guide/get-started, it gets updated if anything new comes up, just to be sure if anything suddenly differs from Tech Savvy Buyer's guide.

Thank You for the easy tutorial , I installed Enso on my Vita successfully. Just heads up guys after you install the first VitaShell after you install henkaku DO NOT DELETE it because when you downgrade to 3.65 and install the new henkaku you may face an error while installing Vitashell and that is a pain in the arse , I experienced it and found no fix so i had to reformat my vita again and start this tutorial from start just to get VitaShell. FYI, when I tried to install Enso v1.1, there are apparently two versions; one is compatible for 3.60 and one for 3.65. I was using the incorrect version and got the error "failed to load kernel module 0x8002d003". After reattempting with the correct enso version, I was good to go. Also ran into the error of failing to reinstall VitaShell after the final blue H-encore ("failed! 0x80431075"). I got around this by NOT uninstalling VitaShell during the step of removing the red h-encore and vitashell icons. Finally, I suspect my laptop did not have the correct USB drivers to recognize a connection. I did everything via FTP through Vitashell. Worked just fine with some intense googling and reading others' experiences. Overall success. Thank you for the great video.

Just another note (sorry for spamming, but I think it's important,) and that is, when you run h-encore and it seems to crash (at 21:36) it is not crashing, it is just installing h-encore without bothering with the menu. This is for speed and it works really well. The only reason you would need to boot to the menu is that if you did not have Vita Shell installed.

I did this a few days ago. I made a Pandora battery to resurrect my bricked PSP 1000 by using another working 1000 model. I had made a magic memory stick already, and used a PSP app to change the EEPROM in the battery to be a service mode battery. Just like that, I was able to fix a bricked PSP that I haven't been able to use for over 5 years :)

Don't click on anything past 13:05 (he opened the app/ file, so don't do that) and then press select as he says. Then continue as normal. I'm guessing he tried to cut out that part but failed and made it look like a jump cut but it's really more of a rewind button.

This tutorial doesn’t work anymore on system version 3.74, at least for the moment. FinalHe copies over the wrong version of h-encor; it copies over h-encor not h-encor2. H-encor not h-encor2 just leaves you with a blank white screen when you launch it. Until someone fixes finalHE this doesn’t work unfortunately. I guess I’ll mod my vita in a few months when this is hopefully fixed or I find another way of installing h-encor2.

around 20:00 If after downgrading and it keeps asking to update after going into the content manager, I went into flight mode with the PS Vita then I powered off and powered back on. Plugged the USB into the PC and ran content manager on the VITA and it connected to the PC without asking to update.

If you have purchased the game, you can download the game from PS Store if your vita is modded using enso and h-encore. Also, you can get every game for free but you need a plugin named nonpdrm. For plugins, I suggest you to install Auto plugin in your vita.

I noticed Mr. Tech Savvy Buyer doesn't respond to just everyone, so here is my tip: You don't have to delete h-encore and VitaShell after downgrading to 3.65. I started from 3.73, deleted them both and couldn't reinstall VitaShell with henkaku 3.65. If you did that, you can just upgrade back to 3.73 in Settings (Just make sure henkaku isn't spoofing the firmware version to 3.73). You can just leave the 3.73 versions and they will continue working in 3.65. No risk that way. Proceed with the Enso install as usual.. from a comment bellow

Hey, what’s up. So something dumb happen to my vita. I had everything setup right for a whole year till two days ago my vita battery died cause I forgot to charge it. However upon charging and heading to work I notice an error and Enzo, games, etc stopped working. The system goes into a loop when turn on refreshing data base. My games either show or they don’t and when they do only the psp emulation works but everything else went to shit. Some pros say I may have to uninstall Enzo and format everything and start all over again. I put in so much work on adding mods, psp game customs, psx games with custom selection etc. I know how to recover all my psp and psx games so I’ll do that later but I have no time to all of it again since I have no time. What’s your price to look into this and recover Enzo without me worrying of me breaking my console?

I noticed Mr. Tech Savvy Buyer doesn't respond to just everyone, so here is my tip: You don't have to delete h-encore and VitaShell after downgrading to 3.65. I started from 3.73, deleted them both and couldn't reinstall VitaShell with henkaku 3.65. If you did that, you can just upgrade back to 3.73 in Settings (Just make sure henkaku isn't spoofing the firmware version to 3.73). You can just leave the 3.73 versions and they will continue working in 3.65. No risk that way. Proceed with the Enso install as usual.. from a comment bellow

@@superdoom-bc3qw i did it and i finally installed enso. Be sure to make dns auto to re-upgrade to 3.73 and then follow the video but dont delete anything just when he is going to reconnect to pc use your old vitashell and you will be good to go.

Delete the WIFI Access Point and enter the WIFI-password again. Press the R-Trigger while starting h-encore and try again.

If I swap my Sony memory card (for vita 16gb) out to another Sony one (64gb), will I have to do this again? and also, do I delete ENZO after it is done?

I used my 8GB memory card to do the modding. When I swaped to my 32GB memory card the vita system was modded but the h-encore, vitashell and enso apps were missing. I dont think they carry over as the vita treats them like games. Also does firmware spoofing in HENkaku settings affect FinalHE.exe? I ask this as when I plug my vita (actual firmware is 3.65) into my PC to install h encore on this memory card the exe file on the pc views the vita firmware as 3.73 (the version that is spoofed).

I didnt bother deleting ENZO after the modding. I dont believe deleting it is needed and the moded vita may occer errors if enzo is deleted. Im not sure though.

I got it. Do whatever he said but dont delete the Vitashell and after downlading the blue H-encore just install the henkaku dont install the vitashell, It works.

The best way is is to format and start fresh. Follow the vid up to he says about deleting vita shell. DON'T DELETE VITA Shell and everything will go smoothly.

I get everything ok until 13:38 My PC SHOULD open up a new folder It does not I thought maybe content manager was missing on my PC (it was) but installing that on my PC didn't fix it Please send help :-)

I remember cutting the battery opening, then cutting the solder line, modding the PSP 1000, then using a Number 2 pencil to fill in the solder line to complete the mod...Early days of psp modding!

it wont let me donwload the shell at point 22:01 in the video now. It wants me to be signed into my psn account but wont let me sign in unless I update the software. why did it do this? I did every step correctly up to this point lol .

im getting failed 0x80431075 when downloading vita shell at 22:00 video time. everything up to this point went great. even installed vita shell the first go around with no issues. does anyone know how to fix this? tried deleting my wifi and reconnecting, tried re-installing H_encore, rebooted pc, not sure what else to try. some suggest connecting to my phones Hotspot, but the Vita cant find my Hotspot for me to try connecting. any help would be appreciated.

13:34 I’m lost, I click select with the three dots on the top with usb and it said insert a micro usb card even though I already have one in there and then I change the select button to ftp but it just gives me something completely different

If you have vitadeploy you can go on install a different OS and click quick 3.65 install. It will downgrade it to 3.65. It worked for me at least. Hope that helped.

This is for when we already have a soft mod and we're trying to downgrade to permanent mod? I'm in H-encore 3.68 soft mod and I want to downgrade to 3.65 permanent. Maybe I should start from scratch.

vitashell failed to install, followed all the directions to the letter and hit a wall when i opened henkaku, INSTALEED IT, THEN SCROLLED DOWN TO INSTALL VITA SHELL, it then came back as failed.

i have a vita 1000. i got it last year already jb and had lots of games. my friend somehow updated the vita by accident removing all the mods and games in it. i have no knowledge about jb a vita and saw this video. when i heard that you need a sony memory card to jb a 1000 vita and i dont have it. and im also bored so i tried jb it anyways. when i connected it to my pc via qma it has a 2gb internal storage. i dont know how but it has despite being a 1000 model so i tried putting all files required to it into the internal storage and it run well until i run the final h-encore for some reason i cant install vita shell it just says error. i researched about it and found the video about psvimg tools and install a vitashell using it. now it works. after that i used a my old 64gb micro sd card followed all instructions and now my ps vita 1000 is finally working

If you only have sd2vita , you can use MTLhaku. Their website have a trouble, but you can download their web-view on their github and run in on your pc locally. Then access it from your vita browser
