"If at all possible, don't do this..." *continues to scoot things around anyway* Omg. SO funny! 😆Famous last words. I think we've all done this and then later felt like kicking ourselves when we goofed it up. These are great tips for adding details and I"ve watched them before, but just now feeling confident enough to try some of them. So many ideas!

I absolutely love your voice Fran. It is so calm and easy to follow. So many tutorials are annoying. I have learned a lot about resin and techniques in a short time tonight. Now I just need to place my order. Because it is late I will start some projects in the morning. I can’t wait. This COVID 19 has really got me bored until I found this website. Thank you so much. Stay safe

You can resize your edited image in PS ( prior to making a new file for printing out.) Resize the image, then copy and paste as desired onto your new file. To resize the image: File> Edit> Image Size. Be sure to "Save" when you have changed your image size. 😊👍👍❤️ You are now ready to create a "New File", copy , paste, into desired spot.

I just wanted to say that I got a sample of Little Windows resin. I had used 2 part resins before - the stuff you get from Joann's or Michaels. Used mostly as a glaze or a surface resin on tiny canvas. But now I'm doing rings and needed a higher quality of resin. I picked up some Art Resin - I did everything as directed and was soooo upset that bubbles appeared out of thin air. The projects were failed. So I did more research on KZbin of resins and came across Little Windows - I love the clear instruction in these videos. Sometimes we need to know what to do if this or that...and why we're doing things...not just how it works ideally in the perfect case. Maybe my Part A with Art Resin needed to be warmed?. I have no idea why the Art Resin did soooo badly. Why would bubbles appear where none were before? Anyway I did my first ring pour with Little Windows and the quality is EXCELLENT. I almost cried.... Thank you, Little Windows...I will be buying more soon, and thank you for the sample size to try out.

Hello! Thanks for sharing your techniques. I love your videos! I also make resin jewelry and I would like to ask you how do you glaze the sanded edges before doming the front or the back so that they become nice and smooth. I mean, sometimes resin overfill and I have to sand it on the edges. It is so dificult to get those edges shiny again... Thank you for your thoughts. Have a nice week. Silvia
@LittleWindowsResin6 жыл бұрын
Hello again Sylvia! I'll answer on both vids, if the edge I trim is thin enough it rarely shows up. If it does I can sand lightly with very fine nail file and polish a bit, or add a tiny bit of resin around those edges when I mix up my next batch, applied with a toothpick or with one of our angled brushes. Here's a link in case you're interested :) www.little-windows.com/collections/adhesives/products/angled-paintbrushes-for-resin Another option would be to Dome it Up, you'll see that technique in this post: www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/8378710-doming-up-cast-dome

Hi Fran, awesome tutorial. I still have the clear paper that I purchased and having trouble printing pictures on word, i take it into the store and the image is either really blurry or it comes up blank because I didn't save it correctly?! I got so many things from your website but since I don't have photoshop I'm still not sure how else to edit my pictures to make them smaller 🙁

Hello! Do you have an inkjet printer at home, or a friend with one? Here's a link to a page that has a how-to guide for resizing your photos using Microsoft Word or GoogleDocs, much easier. www.little-windows.com/blogs/faq/tagged/cropping-photos You can also follow Kim's hint and try Gimp, it's free and you should find lots of tutorials on KZbin for how to do that. Have you tried our Photo Cropping Software? The 1" Medium Square shape is free, so give it a try here and click "Cropper" under out logo www.little-windows.com/

Hi when adding tiny beads and glitter to pendants is it the same as when doing dried flowers? Do you have to wait for it to go tacky before adding a top layer? Thanks
@LittleWindowsResin4 жыл бұрын
Hello! Sorry for the delayed reply. If I'm understanding your question correctly, the goal is to get any glitter or bits to stay put and the best way to do that is to let it set up a while. That said, if you're in a hurry and you can see that they will be contained and stay where you want them, you can add a top clear layer as soon as you're ready. I hope that helps. If I've misunderstood feel free to email fran@little-windows.com and I'll be happy to help :)

This was a great video, thank you. Does your resin work well with wood/bamboo? It would be neat to use those Scrabble blocks for jewelry, keychains, etc.
@LittleWindowsResin7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Laura! Yes Brilliant Resin works well with woods and bamboo, you'll want to do a test to see how porous the wood is, you may want to seal it first with a brushed on coat of resin so you don't get any debris float, and will limit bubbling. Hope that helps, let me know how your creations turn out :)

I see you work using the top of the form, vs. the bottom which is already "domed" by the shape of the mold. Could you do it the other way? I realize you would have to work "in reverse" in many cases.
@LittleWindowsResin6 жыл бұрын
You sure can, it's just a bit harder to see what you're doing, and you won't have the reflections up and around the edges that can further enhance your pieces. But yes indeed, upside-down or right-side-up are both beautiful :)

Can it be used with UV resin?
@LittleWindowsResin3 жыл бұрын
Hello Rita! All of these projects were made with Brilliant Resin, the safest epoxy you'll find, from little-windows.com Some of these projects can be made with UV resin, you'll have to experiment to see which ones bond layer-to-layer, with opaque materials, and if they are drillable and will bond with the items embedded without shrinking. Thanks for asking :) - Fran
