Thanks for doing this video. I am a big fan. I have been shooting horses in the snow for years and I found to make the Snow White I up my exposure compensation to 1+ or 2+ depending on the light that way you can keep the shutter speed higher for action.

You made me smile so much because you were an absolute kid in a candy store with the snow. It was like our dogs and myself because we got around 16 cm and it has stayed for days. We haven't had that in the Netherlands for 45 years haha. I am still figuring out how to edit my snow photos because well don't have much experience with that hahahahaha
@ThatPhotographySpot3 жыл бұрын
We were very lucky to get a good amount, it was too good an opportunity to not go out and shoot in it! Probably won't be any for another 10 years now!

Good job. What tech are you using to capture camera screen.

It's just something we use to help us record the videos, it doesn't add anything to the video.

Hi! What lens and aperture do you use for your photos? I am learning how to carry out dog photography at the moment and I love the depth of field in your photos ❤️

I usually mention it in each video, like here with the 70-200mm at 2.8.

For this video, were you shooting with animal eye auto focus?

Yes :)

@@ThatPhotographySpot do you know if human eye autofocus would work just as well?

They are two different settings on the Sony cameras so I’m not 100% sure to be honest 🤷♀️

I didn't catch why you chose the low continuous instead of high continuous....
@ThatPhotographySpot3 жыл бұрын
I switched in this instance from single shot to low continuous which is my normal portrait setting. Pippi and I were playing and it bumped a load of settings out! Single shot is too restrictive for me working with animals, but for portraits, all i'd get with 10fps high continuous is umpteen copies of the exact same enormous file. Low continous allows me to ensure my camera refocusses between shots, but lets me keep my finger held on the shutter. Hope this makes sense!
@Stubby10313 жыл бұрын
@@ThatPhotographySpot ohhhh yes! That makes complete sense!! I'll have to give that a try too. Thank you so much for explaining, really appreciate it! :)

You know, every time I think my dogs are good and trained for photography, I see someone else do it leagues better 😂Very good photos! Usually the pictures of my aussie comes out gorgeous and on point because the contrasts better against the snow and my camera likes that but my border collie looks very dull in his photos. I suspect it's because the snow is so bright and he's a blue merle that my camera is like "yes, everything is grey and drab!" I cry lol.
