If i would be a Musician and have my own label would it mean i dont need to sign to anyone Or is it better to still sign to other bigger ones?

If you have a bigger record deal offer, then you may want to see what they are offering and how much they will take from you. Going independent and building your own following and building up your own catalog that you own 100% seems to be the way of the future for indie artists. I hope that helped! Yes very true. That's a tough water to navigate and probably best to hire a lawyer. At the same time, some record labels (depending on the uniqueness of their name) will opt not to bother with acquiring a trademark in their early years. Thanks for commenting! -Scott

Choosing a record label name makes you realize that a lot of the names are already taken sadly :(

Shouldn't be too hard. Not ideal, I would just make an event out of it and use the name change as a chance to promote a change at the label and get people excited about it! -Scott
