I have a few questions: 1 - Where do I have to go to register the label in germany? 2 - What is the name in Germany to 1 person company? 3 - I'm now living in Germany, but if I come back to my country, can I continue with the company (label)? Or because taxes etc It's not posible? Thanks

Something i don't understand. As an artist, you can get all your stuff distributed no problem with Distrokid, Tunecore etc (which I know Jon DOES NOT recommend)....but at the same time, you can also work directly with one of the more bigger distributors too, right? Or is he saying that some of the bigger distributors ONLY work with labels? If so, what difference does having a label make if you, the artist, are the owner of the label? In the end, it's still a direct relationship of artist (or own label) to distributor to DSP

i was ever asking myselve: how do some Labels achieve a very unique Sound. I know some might have their own Masteringengineer, wich achieves that Sound. logically. But some have such a similar Sound an all Artists that im asking myselve, do they actually get Mixes and then exchange the Sythesizers for a very specific one? I never knew. Like one label just needs an Alchemy-synth to sound like that ..? Other Question. Do you think people search a Label wich is compleetely diverse? Like, a label with all hippy/freak/tropical music from Jimi HEndrix to African Beat to Psytrance.. haha, would be fun
@erewrw19064 жыл бұрын
i ment it like that: is there a need for a Label to gather/guide People to certain Songs, like an advice, like an expert showing the consumers around in the musicworld, or is that no good idea, and you rather should build a certain Color, wich predominantly does a very particullar Sound, a particullar Thing. Hmm . im shure the latter is the norm, but can one show peoples around, and still survive..

They all take in in turns in being fishy. Its a good thing to expect nothing from making music. I'm with soundcloud repost network. I've managed to do this since watching your channel back in Feb right at the begining of lockdown. I'm currently working on every possible way of failing right now
@heisenberg66374 жыл бұрын
So if you hire a distributor who releases your music, how do we know how much money the song actually made? Or do you just have to trust your distributor and accept whatever they pay after collecting their percentage.
@Jonsine4 жыл бұрын
they will pass on all of the stats and the money. you can ask an independent auditor to check everything but usually it is

I really wonder what makes people feel they have something to teach on here i'm 58 i have been iveolved as crew or as a musician [singer/ guitarist, etc] in the Glasgow Music scene for allmy adult life, i livd ten years in the heart of Hollywood and weorked with top producer Lee Popa, I currently run a Music studio in Glasgow and I am now what gets termed a ''music producer/ engineer'' I have over two hundred decent songs writen and recorded all done by me, I Write and record every day, Yet i still feel i have nothing to teach anyone, I would like to know why you feel you have the experience to teach? its something i lack.

Step one: DON'T. If you want to start a record label, and you're watching KZbin tutorials, then you're already doing it wrong. Managing a record label is a huge job, and it needs an understanding of the music industry.
