A loom sure is like an obstacle course!! I warped my loom with yarn with a tiny bit of stretch... so far, so good! I’m really just learning and messing around anyway. I tried some fuzzy chenille yarn as the weft and it is BEAUTIFUL! I can see how it would be a DISASTER as warp though! Thanks for another great video and your always-encouraging words!

Thank you so much for the explanation! But how can one test a yarn at the craft store? I can't open the yarn from its package and stretch test it.

Good question! If the yarn is wrapped in plastic, that'll be tricky. But I find most yarn is accessible so you can feel the texture. And if you purchase a yarn once, you can start to track which fibers you like!

Can I use a regular 4 weight acrylic yarn as the warp and weft?

I would give the yarn a good yank to see if it will hold up under tension for the warp. The weft will be no problem!
