Thank you for creating this video I have a tenant who smoked in her room and burned incense and I am getting the smell out using one of these lesser generators. But I appreciate that you brought up the fresh air component as I did not know that and was just planning on leaving the machine in there without giving it an oxygen source. Thank you!

I've been wanting to buy one of these for my basement. As well as using it for detailing. Don't have a moisture problem in my basement just a basement smell. I thank you very much for taking the time to explain some of this stuff and I'm looking forward to your next video on this
@gatsbylight47665 жыл бұрын
You mean you *_think_* you don't have a moisture problem in your basement. "Basement" smell doesn't happen just because the word basement has 3 vowels in it. Basement smell happens because basements have more *_moisture_* (either humidity, water, condensation, or all of the above) than upper floors of a house. 'Humidity' _is_ moisture. THEREFORE, a dehumidifier may also help odors from returning after you've removed the odors.

I’ve had several Maxblasters and have been very happy with the machine and the company. One other tech bought the Rainbow shown and it kinda fell apart. I’m not sure if he’s even using it today. He’s right about buying the most powerful you can afford and about using a hose. Ozone isn’t perfect, but it’s a tool i wouldn’t want to be without. Also, check out Beckart Enviormental for their CL02 method. Wouldn’t want to be without that either.

Whats up Scott! Listen brother, I'm in a small pickle with a client. I recently did a full interior detail on their Range Rover to remove a very stubborn rotten yogurt smell that has been stuck in the car for months. It was spilled on the floor long ago & never cleaned up. I wiped down the entire interior with an apc, & then I noticed 90% of the smell was coming from the area in the carpet where it spilled, so I hit it with a small carpet extractor filled with an odor removing carpet cleaner. After vacuuming up the excess product, I realized the smell didn't go away. So I got a little ballsy haha and hit it with 3:1 super clean degreaser & a brush, & the smell only got more faint so I repeated that process probably 10 times in that area and the smell did not go away 100%. When I finished, the smell was gone in the interior but if I were to put my nose up to the area where it spilled, there's still a hint of yogurt smell so I know within a couple weeks the smell may come back. Would an Ozone Generator finish it off? What should I do to get rid of that smell, Scott?!?! Thank you in advance for all your help!
@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83436 жыл бұрын
well since they didn't clean it up right away, you may have some yogurt that is now in the padding below the carpet..using the extractor may have introduced to much fluid and pushed it further into the padding below the carpet:(...ozone cant treat the padding below the carpet

Six months late, but, for me, the seats come out and I remove the carpet and clean both sides of the carpet, and the area on which the offensive area of the carpet lays. Also recommend in a vehicle that experienced a shooting.

Interesting and hope to hear more on this. I read in detailing forums that use of the Ozone device might be harmful to leather interiors if used too long. Have you any experience with the treatment times impacting the interior?
@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83436 жыл бұрын
thomkirby stay away from forums because it's filled with really bad information! Guys seeing issues are guys using small machines and leaving them in the cars for hours or even overnight, remember how I mentioned that if the machine can't draw fresh air? Well many inexperienced detailers do this daily and produce harmful gases, and guess what they blame the machine and never look at their own ignorance:) Honestly many shouldn't be using these machines without knowledge and training but unfortunately that doesn't happen in the real world!
@MyGuyKirby6 жыл бұрын
So true. I was worried when many stated they bought their units on Amazon for less than $100 and they really do work! This comment was made and it supports your comment: Forum thread goes like this: 8-9 hr ? If memory recalls, I think the general rule was 1-2 Hr MAX. Anything like 8 hrs was harmful to the interior... So for those are in the know, I'd be curious Let's say 2 Hrs 1 Session. Running 9 Hrs is not good for the Interior. [end of comment] Thanks Scott, I love the world you live in and share with us all. PS: The forum comments indicate the special fee for this can be from $125/session and up depending upon the size of the vehicle.
@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83436 жыл бұрын
thomkirby and it's amazing that they would charge 125 dollars! Reversing years of smoking in a car and 125 dollars is less than what the smoker spends a month on cigarettes! Talk about so called professionals hurting themselves and the industry plus they don't guarantee their work if the smell was to return. My industry is filled with morons but it's ok because I just wait them out because in less than a year they will be out of business!

Scott i have some questions , after reading several articles about the production of ozone, almost everybody says NOT to use it with high humidity , the 2 basic reasons are : it can damage the plates faster and the most important is that if there is humidity above 60% it produces gases - nitro gases or smthing- that can harm plastics/ leather and the end user of the car. So.....if you have the machine outside in a humid day you introducing harmful nitro-gases+O3 inside the car, whereas if you treat the car with a dehumidifier after the cleaning is done And you use an interior machine wouldn't be better that way? that was my thought without been a master in this subject but i am seeking for the best solution, please explain your thoughts in this...Cheers!

Hello Scott, We picked up an Oasis Plus ozone generator a little while back based on a suggestion from our supplier, which I'm now reading does only 2.65 grams/ hr, where as this Maxblaster is doing 20 grams/hr! The Oasis is touted as a professional device and sells for top dollar, but I have to say it does a "ok" job at killing the smoke smell, we work on beat up dealership cars so I'm always looking for the best tool possible to make our lives easier. How do you like the Maxblaster? I may have to order it! That power output sounds crazy and the price is reasonable too
@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83436 жыл бұрын
Vito Di Vita yes many machines are filled with hype and just because it says professional use or commercial use is actually a huge joke in the industry. Maxblaster is a great machine for SHOCK TREATMENT but with that said you have to maintain them diligently. Your outside temperature and humidity plays a big part as well as I have discussed in other videos about odor removal and ozone machines. Air movement is also crucial with ozone generator, maxblaster is extremely effective but if outside temperature and humidity is high the fan in the maxblaster could make you need to run the machine longer than just a few hours so that has to be understood as well.

I would really really really like to hear someone rationalize this hole punch hypothesis because we're moving the source of a contamination doesn't take anything other than steady persistent gas generation it does not require this mythical punch that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. If you were dealing with something living that or dead that was generating more thiols the longer it lays there yes then possibly an enormous blast of gas could destroy the source better but I'm playing The Devil's Advocate here. As I'm talking and typing I'm shaking my head no it really doesn't make sense. There's no magical punch needed for this Ozone gas overtime will destroy the source of any thiol generation

Cost $150 for just doing the Ozone ordeal.. Odds are, you only need to have it done after iyou buy a Used car, (which is about every 5 yrs for me) and add $2-300 to have it done, right?
