The thickness of the hair is the actual hair strand not how much hair you have. You can have fine hair and a lot of it or medium hair and a lot of it or course hair and a lot of it so the thickness of the actual hair strand is important when choosing the right products

Thanks a lot for the help one more time Mike! I Really get why people get so confused. I’m new in this whole “journey” of know your hair nature. In a couple days I read about how good is glycerin and in other blog I read that is very bad. Same for sulphate. Same for silicones. Same for clarifying shampoos.... (curly girl method pros and cons)....... So yes is very confusing. I did a test on Kérastase website to find the best products for me and it came the big picture of understand the hairs concern, like you said. I have curly thin medium to short hair, dry ends and with dandruff condition. Some people say that is not ok use oils with coconut or olive oil..... but I need to find a Leave in/styling product that my scalp don’t get mental..... so the confusion goes on.... so yes is like a journey and sometimes is frustrating.... I’m not complaining at all.. my point is: like you said, you have to commit to. Thanks a million again Mike for your content, results of your good work! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🤗

Hey mike I know this is a year old video. I can't afford real expensive shampoo and hair conditioner. Maybe around the 15.00- 18.00 price range. I don't out color on my hair anymore or bleach it. I have coarse straight hair that takes forever to dry and it looks frizzy. From what I have read I have low porosity hair. I have hard water but I have a filter on my shower head. I don't want anything loaded with harsh silicones that are not water soulutable. What would you recommend for my hair type? I have started to grey some. Thanks for expert advice.

My hair is more on wavier side, medium thick strand, scalp feels dry almost whatever shampoo I use if I use mild shampoo sulphate free it seems it doesn't feel clean and I find whitish grey substance but it's not dandruff and weigh down and if I use shampoo with sulphates seems it strips all natural oil if my hair my hair becomes extremely dry but then conditioner and mask also doesn't seem to work. I have never coloured my hair or used heating tools so much. I fail to understand my scalp is dry, but gets greasy, my lengths are dry too and I get split ends very easily. Plz suggest something. You think would workout for me.

Hey Mike, can you help answer some of my questions here? There are a number of things that make me (and maybe a few others out there) feel confused and need help but can't find it in online discussion forums, or blogs, etc. Ok, on to the main topic, I dyed my hair not long ago, and when I dyed my hair I thought it needed special care according to the conditions, finally I decided to switch my regular shampoo that I usually use (Loreal Density Adanced) to shampoo that is intended for color treated hair (Loreal Vitamino Color) but I think I don't feel quite satisfied with the result because it makes my scalp get greasy very quickly and the hair near the roots looks so limp on the second day (I wash my hair every 2-3 days depending on the condition and needs) whereas I didn't feel that bad when using my old shampoo. In your opinion, if I go back to my old shampoo is it safe if I use it for my colored hair? I mean will it fade the colors faster or something? Please answer my question, thank you.
@MikeDeCanter4 жыл бұрын
Hey I think Vitamino colour could be bit too heavy for you from the sound of it . I wouldnt worry about going back to Desnisty Advance . Unless your hair is prone to fading ( ie. low porosity ) or you have a colour that fades quickly ie. copper, red or ' funky ' colour then i wouldnt worry about it :) go back to using your old shampoo :)
@kennethbergmann39834 жыл бұрын
I think changing hair color from level 2 (Asian hair) to around level 4 (I used Majirel 5.15 with the wrong developer [20 vol, no pre-lightening] so the color looks too subtle and only visible in direct sunlight) is not a crazy color, and it doesn't seem to bleed like when I use the shade number 4.20 as well 😅. Well anyway, thanks a lot Mike, your answer as a professional means a lot to me 😆.
