Took me 4 years to grow out the top of my hair to droop down to my shoulders (I’m half black half Honduran) it’s mad curly but I may cut it short

@@SherreseNana i just picked it out and washed it real good with shampoo and conditioner. And seeing it makes me think of just a nice clean mid or low skin fade and trim the edges of the top

It lowkey is sad i figured this out a few months ago (not combing from the scalp first) yet my mom still insists combing from the root is correct and acts like my hair is difficult to comb/uneven *sigh*

You can just fluff ur roots with the pick. Basically just lift the roots with ur pick but don’t actually try combining it all the way through. It gives you some volume

It’s better to manipulate it less, so yes. If you just do wash and goes or protective styles it will help you retain length. But there are many factors to hair growth ☺️
