Thank you for affirming it: your degree does not have to have a direct link to a specific job off the bat. If you’re not sure what job to choose, it’d be a shame to pigeonhole yourself into something niche, choosing based on how prestigious and secure/ the opportunities promise you.

I was struggling to pick which degree last year as well as not knowing what I want to do in life (I still don't know). I was fascinated and attracted by Sociology, yet many people believed that this degree would lead to no jobs. Now, I have a place at LSE for Sociology (going to uni this year). I do not know if I can get a job or not with this degree, but at least I can enjoy the subject that I like. I have one question in mind, and may I ask you that? Is the LSE library open? I heard that it isn't cuz of pandemic.

Hey man I’ve got an offer for HPE from KCL this year but I don’t think that’ll help me get into Econ or investment banking. I think the history aspect could hurt me whereas politics and Econ would be fine. What are your thoughts? I’m really close to dropping out and reapplying for econ or Econ and politics because it’s something I’m more interested in and think it’ll help me more in the future to get a career in Econ and IB. I already know this what I want to do and I thoroughly enjoy and excel at Econ, especially after getting an A so what do you think about this?
