Thank you for such a clear and concise demonstration. I've been knitting for 22 years and picking up dropped stitches in garter stitch has never really worked for me until I followed along with this video. Thank you!

I'm with the others, thank you for this great simple fix, especially the crochet hook use with the slight twist to pull it through. I'm also a life long knitter and realized I was never using garter stitch because of the difficulty I had picking up dropped stitches!

Thank you so much, I have been knitting for along time but struggled as to how to sort out dropped stitches in garter stitch. I am in the middle of a shawl, so was desperate to sort my mistake out. Thank you again.

Thank you, thank you! As a beginning knitter, this is the first time I've heard about vs and bumps, and where the bar should be in relation to each. I'm going to knit a swatch and practice, practice this before I start a chunky garter stitch cowl.

This is very well-filmed, however, some people need to know why you are deciding to knit or purl. I know if you find a v underneath, it was a knit stitch, but a new knitter might be confused by this. You really did a great job of explaining what to do, but that should have been explained.

What does frogging it mean. I've been knitting for many years but haven't come across this.

I'm a beginner and I screwed up a stitch and I don't know what to classify the mistake as or how to fix it. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. They told me to knit to help with anxiety...oh the irony :) imgur.com/FIY0HM5

Simon, it looks like you need to move the last stitch on your needle back to the other needle. Flip your work around so the needle with one stitch is in your left hand and the needle with the majority of the stitches is in your right hand. Knit the one stitch from the left needle on to your right needle and you should be all set!

Simon this was very confusing for me I am a beginner and I don't know what Loop is what I can't do this.

I hope you were able to finish it. I think knitting and crocheting does help with anxiety (unless you are untangling knots. xD)

I find that you're blocking the work and not explaining the parts of the stitches so well. Sorry.
