Welcome back to my channel! Today, I'll show you how to pickle jalapeños right at home. This simple recipe is perfect for adding a spicy kick to your favorite dishes, and it's super easy to follow!
In this video, I'll guide you through the process of pickling fresh jalapeños using a few basic ingredients. Whether you're a spice lover or just looking to preserve your garden harvest, this recipe is sure to become a favorite.
Ingredients:
Fresh jalapeños enough to fill 2 to 3 pint canning jars
1 cup white vinegar
1.5 cups water
4 teaspoons salt
6 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
12 peppercorns
1/2 teaspoon Mexican oregano
1 small white onion, sliced
1 tablespoon avocado oil
Steps:
Slice the jalapeños into rings.
In a saucepan, add the peppercorns.
Heat avocado oil, sauté onions, and add garlic. Once onions are translucent, add vinegar, water, and salt.
Bring to a boil.
Add the jalapeño slices to the brine and simmer until jalapeños are no longer bright green.
Ladle into clean, hot jars and seal with canning lids.
You can water bath can them for 10 minutes or, once cooled, place them in your refrigerator.
Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
Tips:
Wear gloves while slicing jalapeños to avoid skin irritation.
