Even knowing it’s a tree, I have a hard time not seeing an airplane!

This is one of my all time favorite quilt blocks. No matter what the color scheme, it always comes out stunning. So beautiful! Love your colors, Leah! I hope you've been well and enjoy your coming week!

Leah, thank you so much! Your tip about using thread chargers and putting the chained pieces "in jail" to start each piece --- well, it has improved my accuracy many-fold!! Today I sewed a strip of half-square triangles using this method, and I could hardly believe how straight and even it was when I finished. Wow!! Great tip!!

You're welcome! It's so easy to get things flipped around and I REALLY hate ripping out black thread on black fabric.

Can't see it from the back of a galloping horse! LOVE IT!! I have to steal that from you. And I know I will be using that expression a lot :) Thank you so much for all your tips and tricks. I know I am a 'couple' months behind (just got your packet of batiks which are lovely) and I need to get my act together and cut up my stash, but I am really looking forward to doing these blocks. This quilt a long has really gotten me excited about destashing and ending up with something beautiful (not to mention building my quilting skills). (rachelaoriginal)

Exactly! You can't see that tiny little mistake from curled up under the quilt either. Stash cutting is surprisingly time consuming, but I know you can do it!

OMG that is a lot of prep work and umm, well work! I just got my Janome hd 3000 and never sewed before. Wish me luck.

When preparing your fabric whats your favorite product? There are so many new choices. I used to use a fabric sizing when pressing clothes. Will that do?
@LeahDay5 жыл бұрын
I use Niagara brand spray starch because it comes in a spray bottle. I think whatever you have on hand and smells good and works good for you is perfectly fine!

Leah Day OMG i got a spray bottle of this starch!, where has it been all my quilting days? Been snowed in and have made a quilt top and this stuff is amazing. Thanks for the tip
