Instead of saying “pinch it down here”, please consider a more descriptive explanation like “cut it at the joint” or 2 inches from here or there…I personally need specifics. Just fyi, I did not read other comments first and decide to ‘pile on’ with others, so that says alot as far as advice! Thank you

I have two fibrous plants that my neighbor gave to me. I have not pruned them as yet.... want them for houseplants over the grey Kansas winter....I have them under lights and am getting ready to trim them back. I would imagine the cut is...right above the node?

It would be a waste if you didnt try rooting some of those nice cuttings The long ones dont always branch out n grow tall though n meed to be culled out. Good gardening 🌹🌹

My problem is I have tuberous where some grow 2 ft and need staking whereas others grow 8 inches and are wonderful. Anyone else pinch them before they bloom? Is it like Dahlia where you get more side branching which is what I want.

Thanks for the effort - but your "descriptions" of what your doing are not very helpful to the novice. The why/where/how of choosing what to cut... complete with visuals would be more helpful. "Do that" is not really descriptive enough to understand what you're doing precisely and why :-/ Or "I'm gonna cut this right here"... Where? How? Why?

folks are right. I'm a novice with a big garden of Begonias. Your instructions do not tell a novice how to prune Begonias. I never heard exactly WHERE you cut and why. That's what I needed. Not only were the instructions no given clearly enough, your hand was in the way of where you were cutting. Try again. I can tell you could be very helpful.

Thx for the video. That dog needs something. It obviously is not happy and is wanting something. I've had dogs almost my whole life and never have had such a constant barking dog. Something is wrong with the dog. I know this video is old but I hope the owners of that dog did help him or her. I felt so bad for the dog, that I couldn't concentrate on the video. Thx, though.

please... next time take the flowers inside if the dog is barking nonstop. 1. HARD TO HEAR You, 2. Can't focus o your video if We Can't Hear YOU. 3. Now after struggling to Hear You... i have a headache. poor dog needed some to not video & call authorities to make sure it had water etc

I agree with the others. Why make a video when you are going to make cuts away from the camera so we can't see along with no explanation as to why we are pinching it. This lady is beautiful and has an excellent voice but the video lacks EVERYTHING needed to even have a clue how to pinch a begonia. I've learned nothing. Please remove this video and try again.
