Pioneer in-dash receivers are designed to automatically switch on when the vehicle is on and to automatically switch off when the vehicle is switched off. If your Pioneer receiver stays on, even when the vehicle is switched off this means the receiver is installed incorrectly. Focus on the Red Wire. The Red wire should have power when the vehicle is on. The Red wire should not have power when the vehicle is off. Do not wire Red and Yellow together. If the receiver still displays the clock, press the "D" or display button.
