What consistency works best for the roses? Also how did you use to get the dark red?
@moonchild77376 ай бұрын
I like a medium consistency. If it's too soft the petals won't hold up, but if it's too firm you kill your hand and wrist. This almost looks too soft? Just add like 2 tbs of milk to your batch of frosting, take a little out and test a rose. If it's too firm add 1-2 more tbs and try again. That's what I do with my recipe anyway.
@prshus20006 ай бұрын
@@moonchild7737 I’ll keep working with it. How did you get the dark red color? I’ve tried adding black and it turned out really bad.

@@wilton This is so New to me... Please let me bore you with the reason WHY I want to make Beautiful Cupcake Boutiques. Even though I have had a cafe and a Bar-B-Q stand... I am seriously thinking about making these Cupcake Boutiques because of once I move back to Albuquerque, New Mexico (US)... I am re-opening my Acting Academy. You might wonder What CupCakes Boutiques have to do with an Acting Academy... Will, not only will we have an Acting Academy but it will be for Mystery Dinner Theatre, and as you know once an Actress is through with their performance, at the end of the night, it is customary for the Actors to receive "Cut" Flowers, a Bouquet of CUT Flowers... I can not handle all those beautiful flowers dying and lasting only a few days... I'm talking 20 plus Actors. That is a lot of flowers. I want to give each of my Actors a CupCake Bouquet... (7) cupcakes.... I think it is better than killing all those beautiful flowers. Right? So now... if you're still reading this, you'll understand why I'm on this quest of saving Live Flowers.... and give the actors ... Beautiful CupCake Bouquets...

This is buttercream, you can find our Homemade Buttercream recipe on our blog: bit.ly/ButtercreamRecipe Buttercream icing 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening ½ cup butter 1 teaspoon Wilton Clear Vanilla Extract 4 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar (approx. 1 lb.) 2 tablespoons milk Cream shortening and butter with electric mixer. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Keep icing covered with a damp cloth until ready to use. For best results, keep icing bowl in refrigerator when not in use. Refrigerated in an airtight container, this icing can be stored 2 weeks. Re-whip before using. Yield: 3 cups
