Excellent video! Those in Diaspora wondering how to make the payment - I usually send the amount to a trusted friend and request them to RTGS to CBK on my behalf. Provide your CSD account, ISIN and the Bond reference number. I checked directly with CBK - they do not yet have a solution for sending money from Diaspora banks for now.

What happens when bidding closes on Thursday, then get a message next day ( Friday) that your bid was successful ( KES 2M bid) but don't have much time to RTGS KES 2M as value day is the following Monday? Be aware that you can only RTGS around KES 500,000 per day and you have only Friday and Monday to do so.

Great job Agatha for educating all of us in understanding this stuff, I really enjoyed your presentation and I followed your training to the letter in the current treasury bond purchase. But after sending money from my Kenyan acc to the CBK cds acc in good time, I received an email that my purchase has been canceled due to non payment. I used the right account number and reference number and there’s a confirmation of transfer from my bank account but where is the money. I don’t know who to contact and when I checked my dhow cds acc, the status has not changed, it still shows the bid was successful. I'm sorry about this. I don't have a way to help: it's only your bank and CBK who can help. Usually , if the payment doesn’t go through, it's automatically sent back to your account.

@@TheWealthTribe Walked to the Lavington NCBA branch, filled in the funds transfer form, (checked RTGS) and wrote a leaf from the chequebook for THAT specific amount. The challenges in the first days after launch seemed to be that the commercial banks couldn't recognise/validate the Reference number from CBK. Additionally, print out that specific email with all that auction data and give the teller - just in case.
