I marathon drove out and back. (kansas and the first 2 hours of colorado is boring) one night in Hayes Kansas hotel and a rest area on the way back. in 7 days I had 3 dinners in town, the rest of the time I had cans of soup in the desert..I think my entire trip was $2000... and I cannot wait to go back and do more of Needles and San Rafel..
