I am from Bhutan but I study in India. Yup, you all are quite loud. I once thought that people were querrelling but simply they were talking. Thanks for visiting our country. I always tell to my friends that it is expensive country to visit but you won't regret. Thanks.

Yes, this is something I am not really proud of but yes this is reality and I accept that. Majority of the people who travel from India to Bhutan are from adjoining border areas like Assam, West Bengal and Bihar. And they are reaaalllyy loud. And it is correct to say that a good experience comes with an equally good price. 😂 Thank you for stopping by and dropping a comment 😀

Even within India there are different cultures and it influences people's behavior. Even among Indians, generally I have observed tourists from Bihar/UP/West bengal/Haryana are unusually loud when travelling within the country. May be they don't notice or even realise that, since culturally it's the norm. But it seems like a nuisance and lack of public decorum from other's perspectives. These cultural differences between different ethnic /cultural backgrounds among us is something even we struggle with.

Is self-drive cars allowed in Bhutan? if allowed how do we opt for guide? guide will also come with us?
@dishitandgunjan
@dishitandgunjan 2 жыл бұрын
Own vehicles from India are allowed but that will involve an additional cost of 4700/- per day. You can only rent a Bike in Bhutan for local sight seeing or longer rides but car rentals are not there in Bhutan. The Guide will come with you in your car throughout the trip or otherwise you will have to pay for the guide's transportation as well and you can get a guide from Phuentsholing. Happy Travelling😊

Well that would be very subjective to answer. If you are comparing it with overhyped locations and more glittery places than those places definitely one step ahead. However, if you want to see their culture and their reason for happiness then this is the place for you my dear. It's worth the experience. Rest it's only you who can decide if it's worth or not Happy travelling😊

I don't think it would work like that in Bhutan. You will have to show all documents along with vehicle details and everything at the entry of every city you wish to visit. Not really, Though Bhutan is the first country to adopt Indian UPI but I don't think it is fully functional as it's in India. Even your Visa or MasterCard credit/debit cards will also not work there.. Rupay cards work in some of the places. Best is if you are taking a package or hiring a guide them make online transfer to them in advance and ask them money on the way. Even we did all the shopping in cash.
