How to Plant Bare Root Roses from David Austin

Hi guys, I am planting 9 roses that I received from David Austin Roses today. Below are the ones that I am planting:

Vanessa Bell
Benjamin Britten
Gabriel Oak
Lady of Shalott
Eustacia Vye
Claire Austin
The Generous Gardener
Princess Anne

I highly recommend using an auger to dig holes for your plants. Soooo much faster and easier. Get the Power Planter auger with the driving tip, they are very good quality and making planting hole in a clay or shale, which is what we have, is piece of cake compare to shoveling and such.

Thanks. We have a handheld auger and it didn't work out so well. May be because of the rocks underneath. I might buy a bigger auger and try on the next plant shipment.

no dig is the way to go just keep cardboard box to line at the bottom
