I grew this variety last year and will again this season. I saved the seeds and they’re sprouting nicely. I have to say the Cherokee variety is one of the most delicious tomatoes!

Can i grow cherokee purple in zone 13a in full sun?

I was wondering what color the flowers are supposed to be on Cherokee purple tomato plants. I got two from Bonnies and although the foliage and stem looks alike on both plants one has yellow flowers and the other has white, so I am wondering if they accidentally got one mixed up and it's another variety, or if it may be a hybrid that resulted from cross pollinated Cherokee Purple and something else?

I have grown tomatoes and peppers before in a 5 gallon bucket and have had good success, just make sure you drill a few drainage holes in the bottom and use potting soil. I hope you have a bountiful garden season!

Hi Jean, because it is a indeterminate tomato plant you would want to continually pinch the suckers off the main leader as it grows, I hope you have a bountiful garden season!

@@PlantSmartLivingNOW Black Krim! You could of grown about 505 lesser tomatoe variety. It a good'un. Sorry to say PA and the whole east coast in 2018 had too much rain and tomatoes siffered.

I am a 60 year old woman. when I was growing up we had a lot of the plants Elephant Ears. I guess they thought they were a weed chopped them down. They did not get tall. Just low to the ground and spread out I think.
