Love your video and your voice ❤️ l'll be listening for your next video. Collards are my favorite greens. I have some fall ones growing and I've had frost but my collards are still young yet. Was hoping to learn more about them, as this is my first try. Blessings

I love collards in the winter, they are tender and full of flavor. I always have problems with germination when I use seeds. I think I might be planting too deep. I’m gonna try again this fall and I hope I have good luck. I’ll keep watching on your progress. Good luck 👍🏽

They are kinda cool weather plants, so getting them early (or late in the fall) seems to help... They really like cool nights...

I have never tried collard greens, but you make me want to. Hopefully you show us how you cook them. Thanks for the tomato advice, will be doing that this week.
@BumbleBeeJunction3 жыл бұрын
They are pretty easy... You remove the center spine from the leaves, chop, and cook like spinach... Mark slices jalapenos into vinegar and uses that spicy vinegar to sprinkle on after they are done...

Yesss love my collards and harvest from them all through fall and I love that im still picking them in Jan sometimes feb I pick them till they go to seed I actually tried the seed head I was told it taste like broccoli stir fried in bacon and garlic they were ok but give me the greens any day and you don't have to fight the worms even though I cover them with insect net so I dont have to fight worms while its still warm outside. Are you guys gonna do turnips?
@BumbleBeeJunction3 жыл бұрын
Neither of us are fans of turnips, but we have grown them for friends, and have a video on them in our Gardening playlist...

They are about 110 by 40, but they have cross braces that make them easy to divide visually !
