Watching you do this inspired me to use lemon cypress and heucheras in a planter last year. I ended up making planters for my he too. So thank you very much; I enjoyed it all.

Hello Debbie, I found you yesterday and you made my day! My garden ist so ugly and I didn't know where to start. But listening to your encouraging videa I started in the afternoon. So much done in 2 hours and I planted 2 beautiful containers at the entrance. Thank you and God bless you.

I found that starting anywhere is good and while one part is getting beautiful you will want the neighboring environment to match the first beautified part. Just like a pebble thrown in a pond ripples outward so will your garden. Have fun.

Super duper beautiful planter. I just love the ideas. I need to put something together to freshen up my house, which we are going to sell to make it more appealing and faster selling. Btw. if you want to sell a house quicker never underestimate to beautify it with flowers on the outside and bake a loaf of bread before the open home. The improved appeal sells it in a jiffy. It will be gone same day, I promise.

So pretty. I'm in an area that will get a first frost by later in the month or if very lucky into the first week of Oct., so what we can do here is to leave the pots of plants in their pots so they can be removed in the evening and brought inside a garage or shed on the freezing nights and brought back out in the morning. In this way we can have live plants outside often into November if the days stay above freezing. Not much trouble to wheel them in and out in a cart or wheel barrel :-)

Hi Michelle. I live in middle of England which gets quite a lot of frost. I would never of doing that. It's a brilliant idea. Many Thanks Natalie.

LOVE IT. QUESTION, MY MUMS GET CUT BACK UP TO THE 4TH OF JULY AND STILL GROW SO TALL. ALSO, WHY DON'T THEY KEEP A NICE ROUND SHAPE?
@GardenStylenw7 жыл бұрын
Char Ladd Always a good idea to pinch your mums back throughout the growing season to keep them bushy and create their mounded shape. You can pinch them now and still get plenty of flowers. Food is good too! :)

Hi fantastic informative video. I have subscribed and pressed the bell for all your videos. It was great knowing what plants o can put into the garden afterwards and that I can keep the lemon cypress tree in the container for a couple of years. Should I use a slow release fertiliser to the compost please? Thanks Natalie
@GardenStylenw5 жыл бұрын
No need for fertilizer at this time of year as the plants will be going to sleep soon. A good dose in Spring however. :)

Do your tera cotta pots freeze and crack in the winter? Mine are glazed but not as glazed on the inside and I don't want them to break
@GardenStylenw7 жыл бұрын
Nicholyes Actually they are a lightweight, high density resin that looks like terracotta. I've had them for years and leave them out all winter with no issues. Good question. Thank you for watching!

Hi, I love the selection you made. I just have a small question, when you say 20deg. etc. is that Fahrenheit and therefore below freezing? I am in France and we use centigrade so 20 is a comfortably warmish temp. Thanks.
@nataliedodson16375 жыл бұрын
Hi Linda. I live in the Midlands in England and we don't have a zone for plants like the Americans have in the America. So I would imagine France is the same. However when I went to Google, it told me I live in Zone 7, I am hoping it may do this for you as well if you put in your nearest biggish town. As a lot of videos are done in America it's good to compare to where you live. Yes the Americans also use farenheit whereas Europe uses Celsius. I hope this is helpful to you . Natalie

I’m new to your channel and I’m loving it! Your so knowledgeable and helpful. Is a Lemon cypress and a lemon juniper the same thing?
@GardenStylenw7 жыл бұрын
Zona Lenhart Cypress is a name used for the overall genus of evergreens. Junipers are in the Cypress family with pointy needle like leaves with small berries. Cypress or false cypress are actually cedars in the Cedrus family. They have flattened leaves. So yes they are different but are bunched together under the same family of evergreens. Good question! :)
@zonalenhart69547 жыл бұрын
Debbie Cassidy thanks so much. That actually clears up my Alaskan Cedar question which is one of my favorite evergreens. Thanks so much.
