That needed bonding first or very least a magic mix coat,then two coats of finish.

Yes I agree but it was the start of first lock down so was lucky to get multy finish at the time, but nearly a year later its doing OK but cheers for watching 👍

Hi pal, great job. I've always been told to use bonding over thick artex like that before skimming but noticed you used multi finish straight on the artex. I have the same pattern to plaster over as you did here, so can i just go for pva and multi finish with no bonding coat? Cheers.

Hi there yes give the artex a scrape off and use a mask, and go over with plenty of pva and your good to go, I've done it for years and had no problems at all, cheers for watching the vid

Ye It was buddy I soaked the wall with pva before and then decided to scrape it but good spot though

@@purplepunx7100 good luck lol its not the easiest to Plaster over, try using extra time in the plaster it stops the plaster going off to quick, it's a little sachet called extra time 👍

I'm not sure what it's called sorry, I've been taught always pva over a painting wall or a rough wall it just bond's the plaster to the wall better
