It took you longer than an hour to lay the concrete footings. Clickbait bollocks. And that plastic grass looks shit.

They look like standard concrete blocks. Do you have any concern over water seeping in and freezing over the winter, cracking the block?

@purplemonkeydishwasher52693 ай бұрын
I that because the plastic grass is laid on a concrete slab? I suppose that it will retain water, but as its not earth or even any significant height I doubt it will "fail". You'll just have a soggy garden. But drains may have been a nice thought.

Excellent video I learned a lot from this. I need to lay a block wall 12 blocks long and 3 high. I only have one of those plastic mixing trays and I'm wondering if I can manage with that or if I really need to hire a cement mixer which I don't want to do.

Is there a particular term for this sort of layout, instead of it being the traditional vertical block layout? I ask cos I am putting a planning application together for a retaining wall, which will have a fence fitted to the top and this is the sort of layout I need to do, to give me the sufficient depth of the block to bolt down the fence post clamps. Thanks for the clear video too on the setup

@@CyberWolfVR it boils down to durability and lateral strength in my opinion, that's not to say that houses in the UK during the early 1900 and earlier were built on concrete footings because not all of them were, some had brick spreader footings so the bricks were banked, some built on a raft and some didn't have any, this is often why you find some houses need under pinning because of substandard and non existing footings.

The problem is, it is all very well you showing us all this, but you Welsh builders never turn up to even give quotations. We are waiting weeks and weeks for the quote promised to us and requested by our insurance company. You have always been unreliable, ever since we moved to Wales in 2006, just the same old, same old. "Yes we will come round", when you never bother, "Yes we will give you a confirmed quote", that never comes. Your annoying to do business with, obviously do not care about customers and you all must be so wealthy that you do not work, obviously. Is it because we are not WELSH?. I have heard many stories from English, Kiwis, Australians, etc, etc that you have an issue with outsiders, therefore you do not bother turning up to give quotes or anything. Your crap you Welsh, do you know that?. Not to be trusted, con artists when you do show up, which is rarely and your arrogant. PUTIN is attacking the wrong country.
