I just did my stinger yellow ram yesterday, it came out beautiful. Every emblem and badge came black on the truck already besides the stupid chrome grill peices. I didn't even tape off in between them I just taped around the four inserts and sprayed. All I had to peel off was on the yellow of the grill. Your truck looks good man!

i dont think a reversible paint should label someone as a ricer. crappy exhausts, useless wings, and fake hood scoops make sense, but plastidip can look very good if done correctly. DipYourCar.com makes amazing looking cars, and the ability to change the look of your car for cheap without spending hundred or thousands of dollars on wheels, tires, or an entire paint job seems worth it to me, especially since u can peel it. also ads a bit of protection to the actual paint! now i have seen people tint their headlights and tailights and that i will fully admit is mega ricer shit lol

Turn the can upside down and spray it until the paint stops coming out to clean the tip after each use and it won't clog.

Thanks Henry! The nice thing about plasti-dip is any overspray just rubs off unlike traditional paint so leaving it on the vehicle is much easier. Also if you check out my other videos you'll see that taking the grille off the truck and removing the grille inserts is a very delicate task and the clips on the inserts are VERY fragile. I've since swapped out these grilles for a honeycomb version for a sportier look 😎

It last quite a long time! The more coats you use the thicker it will obviously be and last longer. I only used 1 can for everything you see in the video and it is still holding up great a few months later! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Yeah it worked great and lasted the couple years I had it on there before swapping to the honeycomb for a different look. The emblems are still looking great though no issues!

Don't worry about any over-spray it literally just rubs off with your hand or a micro fiber!

I'd say if anyone were to give me advice at your age it would be to just stay hungry and always push yourself to be better everyday at whatever it is that you love. A lot of people say "I wish I could do that" but in reality anyone can achieve anything if they put their mind to it. From your age until my age you will see some of your friends make leaps and bounds and others will be doing the same thing in the same place they were 10 years ago. If you are into cars and it is one of your passions you can make quite a bit of money flipping even cheap cars and car parts. I used to buy parts that "could" have gone on my own car but I knew the market value and ended up just reselling them. Also parted out a couple average joe cars years back which was worthwhile. Other than that try to have multiple sources of income and really go over your expenses. All the little things can really add up and eat into your income. I follow a lot of mindset stuff with Tony Robbins and other high achievers too. These guys have made millions and even billions so their advice is pretty solid. I did the same thing to my ram except I realized the individual slats were just clipped into the grille so I pushed them out and painted them individually and then put them all back in. Made it so much easier to get good coverage.

I much more like the look of the chrome it really makes the accented parts of the rams stand out with the right body colors. Personally mine is the white( not sure what color of white it's called since I'm not near my truck) with chrome bumpers. The grill and ram logos are chrome as well and when its clean it shines really nicely and looks beautiful. My favorite look for the rams is the body colour Blue streak pearl with chrome bumpers. Your ram looked pretty cool with the silver body colour with chrome cause the chrome kinda adds that flow to the body colour but with a little pop in the colour to make it stand out. Overall I'm personally not a big fan of changing the chrome to plasti dip black like you did but it still looks good just not my preference

I followed your video but as I was peeling away the tape it took the plasti dip of as well???? Ended up having to peel it all off the grill did you leave it on all night I'm thinking maybe I peeled to quick?

Murtaza Sherazee when you peel the tape off you have to be super careful cause it's basically a rubber coating so if you have a ton of it on the tape it will try to follow it. My advice would be to not put the tape so close to the actual chrome and leave a gap. The plastidip will break and peel at a hard edge which is what you want. Mine separated where the black plastic meets the chrome just retape further away from the chrome this time 👍🏼

When I plasti dipped my emblems I thought the front and rear ram emblems would turn out shitty but they were the best. My ram 1500 emblems were okay and after winter in NY they are so bad. I have chunks missing and it looks frayed in the gap between emblem and body. Think I'm just gonna remove the emblems sometime.

I've got some plasti dip on order. From experience to keep the finish smoother, the chrome needs to be dulled first, probably with dremel tool or steel wool.

Black is cool, there's nothing wrong with it. My used Ram 1500 came that way and I like it BUT chrome is king and I would have preferred that. A truck is like a Harley, especially the Ram, meaning it looks its best dressed in chrome. I hate the sport body colored grill and bumpers! I didn't like it in the 80's when they were doing that to cars to make them 'euro style' and I never warmed up to it. Ever seen 60 year old cars in the woods? The only thing left that hasn't rusted away is them thick, heavy, shiny bumpers that time just can't touch and we need to get back to that so be a purist traditionalist and flaunt your chrome like your great grandpa did! Fuck the 21st century...
