Thanks and I really appreciate the support. When it’s applied correctly you won’t have any issues with hand, drive through or pressure washing
Awesome! How long do you wait after each spray to spray again from the first light coat till the last final coat?
@newtouchauto2 жыл бұрын
Give yourself 10-15 minutes in between coats, to be sure simply touch the area around the surface to test if dry.

Great instruction on the process. Being that it peeled off so easily, how well does this hold up in the long run like in a car wash?
@newtouchauto3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliment and yes it’ll hold up against any drive through car wash. As long as the product is prepared correctly and properly installed you shouldn’t have any issues. Thanks again for checking out the video

This is awesome, well done sir. One question for you, how long have you found it lasts with normal washing and maintenance?

Great job! I may have missed how long to wait after the final coat before starting to remove the excess. And is this application car wash safe? Thanks!

When the temperature is 72+ degrees give it 1 hour before you remove it. When it’s applied correctly you won’t have any issues with hand, drive through or pressure washing

@@newtouchauto this goes for regular plasti-dip as well?
@newtouchauto3 жыл бұрын
@@freedompioneer4311 this process can be used for plasti dip but it changes a little with the spray coats. With plasti dip the process is faster bc you only need 5-6 coats to obtain a proper removal vs hyperdip which I spray 12 coats. Keep in mind that if you’re adding gloss, satinizer or pearls to plasti dip that’ll consist of 3-4 additional coats.

I did this to my ram luckily they’re huge letters and spaced out well. I also sprayed some clear coat over it before I peeled it. Made out nice

Yeah the bigger emblems are the easiest to spray wrap, this method makes them stand out more.

I was looking at KZbin videos on removing emblems to change to blacked out emblems. Went down the rabbit hole and came across yours. So glad I did. Your instructions and results are second to none. One question, will one can do 6 emblems? Doing a Toyota Tundra. Not sure if I need one or two cans…thanks for a great video…..
@newtouchauto2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliment and checking out the video, for 6 emblems you’ll need 2 cans. You may have enough left in the 2nd can you do another small project.

Oh yeah I’m with you on that, you can achieve color changing emblems with plasti dip and proline which are both removable products. It’s actually pretty easy to achieve.

Looks amazing! I do have a question, you said peel when wet but take your time, how long before the paint dries before I would have issues peeling it up? I have a Telluride and it's a lot of letters 😭 I don't want to mess it up by going too slow.
@newtouchauto3 жыл бұрын
Yeah you’ll only peel the masking off while wet, then let the dip dry for 1-2 hours giving it time to fully cure. Once the cure time is up you’ll then remove the extra dip around the emblems carefully. A slow speed won’t effect the peel process, that’s pretty much you taking your time

I ordered a new Telluride Nightfall edition, but the “KIA” on the 2022 isn’t blacked out so I’ll be doing this for sure. Luckily it’s just the new “KIA” emblem I have to do. Just hope it looks as sharp as this!
