The strength is in the powder not in the developer, (actually developers have an acidic ph) all developers get light , the difference is the speed and how the hair feels, for example higher developers make the hair feel like straw.

My natural hair colour is approximately a level 2 and I also have very coarse Asian hair but I really wanted to colour my hair to a silver/slight lilac tint. I knew that getting my hair to as light a colour as that from my nearly black, coarse hair would be a struggle so I went to one of my local hair salons to have it done only to be quoted £750-800!! Even if I was in a position where I was financially set and didn't have to worry about money I still wouldn't pay that amount for someone to colour my hair. How do they justify charging clients that sorts of prices when the cost of buying all the same salon professional products don't even come to more than £100?? Before I carry on I have to tell you that I am not a professional or qualified hairdresser. But if I managed to get my thick, coarse, Asian black hair to a white/silver colour then anyone can. I done some reading up on how to do it and bought all salon professional products to use and ta-da, I got it how I wanted it. I don't have much advice apart from invest in a good coconut milk oil extra virgin to saturate the hair with the night before and just before you apply the bleach/lightener. Also I can't recommend enough how important it is to buy a detangle hairbrush. They are relatively inexpensive around £5 or less but they play a vital role in protecting your hair from really bad breakage and hair loss. It doesn't matter if you have the best hairbrush or comb, you will still lose a lot of hair unless you use a detangle brush.

Hi! Cosmo Student here! How come you don't do the cotton in between? And also at 3:00 where you add lightner to get rid of the band, wouldn't that damage the already lightened hair?
@arleneaugustahair83934 жыл бұрын
ItsRosy unfortunately in Cosmetology school, they don’t teach us about using Olaplex or b3. It protects the integrity of the hair. They also don’t teach us about having clients all day to do these types of processes.
