Thanks - really helpful. I also didn't realised that cards with zero cubes are tied. I agree Dromadrosis, packed full of depth and relatively simple. I must get Thirteen Days.

9:10 - I think you are not correct, although for your example the result would be the same: the rules state you compare cubes on the unused cards from the event section, not the command, due to the fact that all the events can be used in every game, so that even on the last card the event can make a difference. 6:28 "but the battlegrounds don't move after you placed the cubes". Who says that? As far as I remember, the rules just said that the player whose color of card is being played by the other player, could trigger the event. Hence events should be treated equally, either moving battlegrounds when cubes are placed or removed from them or not. I would say not, since the movement of battlegrounds is (only) specified in the section describing the "command" option.

It was the US's turn, and they played a USSR-power card, so the USSR *may* use the Event before the US uses their Command. That card's event says " Place up to 2 Influence cubes on up to two battlegrounds. *The battlegrounds do not move towards the USSR sphere of influence.* "
