Yes, the cello neck is designed to give us a physical cue point to place our thumb. Clever, those luthiers of old ;-)

Thanks Jade. In life, we can make choices. Shaun, in his young age, has chosen to troll our channel and that's ok. I choose to show him that even a middle school wrestler with a penchant for gaming can enjoy cello music too. Sometimes people lash out with the intent for others to just notice them more so than a reason to be cruel. Loneliness and insecurity are parts of life. I would be nothing of a teacher if I ignored the unruly kid at the back of the class. Shaun knows I am right, and hopefully he will know I am here to answer his questions. And maybe I did present something in a manner that can be better taught in the future. But as for now, he's a troll. When (and if) this kid wants to back up his trolling with data and reasoning, he will be a critic and I will happily engage in a discussion to better improve the pedagogy on the channel.
