Hello Mike, I always watch your interesting videos. These are educational and understandable. But I wish that the exercises were available to download. I myself come from Austria (Austria). With best regards - Günther

Hi Mike Is there a difference notationally / feel wise if you play 1 & swung vs 1 (e &) a (notes in brackets not played) when it comes to a pair of 8th notes? Is it even possible to play 1 a 2 a 3 a 4 a straight or does it inherinantly become swung? I understand that you are saying that the & is played later, but just wondered if it almost means that it moves into the territory of "a." Really enjoy the way you explain things and your examples. I play piano but had to come to see the drummers to get the proper information on swinging haha. [Edit] I was just watching your video on swing. You do mention around 4-5 minute mark (you're playing 1 (e) & a ) that the even the "a" gets more lazy, as well as the &). So i guess that kinda answers some of my above question.
