Both test hands at 10:55 & 18:45 where you end with a Z-ARC on the field are not possible. At 10:55 - Pendulum Monsters in the pendulum zones are treated as Spell Cards, meaning that only the pendulum effect is active and NOT the monster effect that says it's treated as a "Fusion/Syncro/Xyz Dragon". Also, Chronograph says it needs 4 "Monsters" in order to fusion summon Z-ARC, but, as I stated before, Pendulum Monsters in the pendulum zones are treated as Spell Cards, not monsters. And at 18:45 - Not only is Black Fang in the Pendulum Zone and is treated as a Spell Card, but White Wing is equipped to another monster and a monster that is equipped to another monster stops being a monster and becomes an Equip Spell and follows the rules for Equip Spells. So in both circumstances, you cannot summon Z-Arc.

The Jonesy Tube Yeah, I already tested on EDO Pro and, as you just said, is not possible to use face-up monsters on the S/T Zones, since they’re treated as spells... Very sad to be honest. This just makes summoning Z-ARC way more difficult

@@danielnegrin8493 if you want a monster that does similar things, check out Blue-Eyes Chaos Max (immune to all effect, 4k beatstick, no boardwipe, super easy to summon) or Quintet Magician (immune to effects, 4,5k beatstick, boardwipe if conditions are met, needs some setting op). :)

Pretty sure they are still treated as their respected dragons because it is always treated as it. So you could if you wanted to search double iris with duelist alliance. But if they are in the pendulum scale they may be treated as the correct target names but they are treated as a spell so you would have to use Pendulum Fusion since chronograph and astrograph require monsters.

@@XtrlDex nope, if a pendulum monster is in the Pendulum zone or a monster becomes an equip spell (inzektors) it loses its monster effect and becomes a spell. "Being treated as..." is the monster effect.

pendulums scales and equips are not considered monsters hence chrono's eff won't work on it. that why in my zarc deck my link monster is heavymetalfoes cus i can get one of them to extra deck and another to hand if i destroy a card on the field, ad if that field card is in the pendulum zone and its a zarc piece then its safe in extra deck ready to bust out next turn along with the other pendulum in my hand (usually harmonizing). then next urn summon zarc pieces and harmonising to get another piece. lets assume u had a piece beforehand, you now have al of them. now you just need chrono on the field so overlay harmonizing and arc piece to xyz timestar magician ang effect to get chrono. next turn summon chrono and fuse

btw u must make sure the detatched overlay unit is the zarc piece so its safe in gy for a chrono fusion

use furture fusion to send 5 spellcaster to summon quintet magician, while 4 of them is z-arc materials

so what does one do without union carrier? Seems very needed in this deck

I tried the union carrier trick to get the last missing piece on board, but for some reason chronograph wouldn't activate it's effect to summon z-arc. I'm testing this on ygopro, any clue why it doesn't work?

I had odd eyes arc in scale, chronograph and white wing is on board with union carrier, black fang is equipped to wing wing from union carrier and purple poison is in the gy

@@LordKenny I think it's because Odd-eyes in the pendulum scale is considered a spell card and not a monster which Chronograph doesn't allow to work since it needs monsters, not spell cards. So that might be the case.

i'd like to know, does odd-eyes venom dragon actually count as a "pendulum dragon" and a "fusion dragon"? it doesn't have either of those archetypes within its name, and its effect doesn't state that it can be treated as either archetype card

you can't use monster from your pendulum zone to summon with chronograph because it isn't a monster.

Sorry but you played the whole deck wrong. First of all you can't fusion summon z-arc with monsters that are equipped or in pendulum zones as they are counted as spells. Secondly, you can't fusion summon z-arc with chronograph sorcerer by banishing odd eyes rebellion as odd-eyes rebellion doesnt have xyz in his name which means that only odd-eyes venom fusion can be used as fusion material for z-arc so yeah odd-eyes fusion is kind of a waste. I would definetly reccomend putting duelist alliance in its place which lets you add a spell trap or monster with pendulum in its name.

I dueled with this deck and my opponent had mystic mine I was able to destroy it three times thanks to sky iris the only problem I ran across was destroying auroma jar which cannot be destroyed by battle
