When I tell you this is the video I was looking for. I've taught myself and I play and sing in church by ear of course. I hear every chord and some melody, but lately I feel like it sounds boring. I want to learn little tricks like this. Thank you. I'm saving this to practice later, and I will be watching everything you make. I just learned a trick of playing 5 1 5 with my right hand for the whole song from another youtuber. So simple yet beautiful. Appreciate you sharing your wisdom.

Amazing I've played piano since i was 10 (66 now) plus 10 years lessons w Allaudin Mathieu. I couldn't stop watching this! It's so clear - and the presenter is so friendly. It's NEVER too late and Always worthwhile to go back to the beginning. There's always something new to learn. - BTW an opera singer from UK traveled (many yrs ago) to India to study w the Dagar brothers. She was instructed to sing SA for a whole year - basically sing C for a year and nothing else.

Pro Tip write down every chord from 1-8 (keep a journal for this stuff). Write it in a grid like you would an excel doc. I find that taking just a couple minutes to write it down first saves me a ton of repetitive work on the keys. Amazing vid here! 10/10. God bless.

@RobertLeva3 ай бұрын
@@jesunifemiale8619 I have a nice journal that I keep at my piano, just regular lined paper not a musical staff. I wrote 1-8 at the start of each line and I wrote the notes for each chord [CDEG] [CHORD NAME]. I find the writing process adds a new layer to learning. It really helps.
