Thank you. Producing these instructional videos is very generous of you and very helpful to those of us who want to learn these keyboard parts of songs. Much appreciated.

Thanks for this video. I finally got it. Very nice of you to help. You have an easy and effective method to clarify things. Totally appreciated.

Aww thanks! I try to make the hard seem logical without compromising the difficulty. That’s the way I teach myself. Once I can have it make sense to my logic then it becomes easier to play.

Glad my guitar player is going to pick this up so I can continue the bass/synth and leads. (Although I was just going to use a Marimba with a second one transposed up 4 to make it a one-finger deal.) Still working on this!!! I did find a synth w/bass tone that I can use on the left split to mimic keeping that stuff going, while putting the synth/piano lead on the right. Going to watch that video next, thanks again!

Sorry everyone, but while the pattern is right, there are actually THREE voices in this riff! contrary to popular belief, it's NOT all parallel fourths. one figure is parallel fourths as detailed in the video, but there is a third voice composed of fifths and sixths. B G# D# B G# B *repeats here* add this below the main voice. you'll get some seconds and clashes and stuff but it sounds like the record all of a sudden!

Thanks! I'll give that a try!

I just hope our guitar player can adapt to do it, I'll be busy doing the bass and horns! Thanks again.

Actually I might as well try to do the top of each pair of notes with the right hand while playing the bass with my left. He can just play rhythm. I'm using a split keyboard for this (L - Bass Guitar >> bass amp, R - Horn Section >> PA.) And it'll just have to keep the horn patch but an octave up, no way to switch that fast. Fortunately it bounces back and forth with the horns. I wish I could play both notes of the pattern, but that isn't going to happen any time soon at my skill level! Oh, and down a full note, I'm singing it, too. The thanks continue!

I'm so glad I could help brother! I actually have the marimba part mapped on my Yamaha MODX with that 4th lower harmony so that I only have to play the top part when we do it live.

Hello friend, first of all congratulations. second, I have the Nektar Impact LX61 and I had problems with pitch bend. What do you say about the LX61 +, are you satisfied?
@How2PlayMusic4 жыл бұрын
Mine is actually the 88 key version. I haven't had any issues at all with it. I prefer weighted keys and have a Yamaha CP300 and a Yamaha MODX that I play out with. But this LX88+ is perfect for my studio desk.

I'm just learning the marimba part and just as I'm beginning to master the right hand, I didn't know there was a left hand part to go with it 😐
