I always open with gen first into harvester instantly upgrade them both as soon as they finish then when the upgrades finish immediately use burnout on them both for the best early game economy in the game

Pavium may be my favorite leader. He's probably the best one for getting down your basics of the game since he doesn't have anything that heavily changes general gameplay or single battles besides his last two powers. Getting mega turrets early forces enemies to engage on your terms, which really helps in early-game rushes which new players can struggle with.

My favorite tips: 1. Use Burnout to help do an accelerated Jump Brute rush. 2. Play defensively after the rush and try to get a shield and cloak on your base quickly. 3. Use Orbital Designator in combination with the Lich to attack far-away bases without needing to send any units away from a defensive position. It usually won't kill the base, but it will kill two turrets and 4 or 5 buildings as long as they don't have units nearby to attack the Lich. You can also drop Rain of Fire or have teammates drop leader powers on the base to increase the chance of an actual total base kill without sending any units there. 4. Build all resource buildings on the back 5 building slots on at least one base, because the 2nd upgrade of Burnout is big enough to cover 5 buildings if you place it right. 5. Don't bother with Mega Turrets until mid to late game, because there are more important things to spend those leader points on in early game. Especially since their cost increases with each one, like Power Generators. 6. Order of leader points spent goes Burnout 1, Burn 2, Rain of Fire 1, Full Salvage, Lich Vanguard, Orbital Designator 1, Orb Des 2. Then after that is personal preference based on situation. Get Wraith Invader last, it's the least useful in my opinion. If I ever do use Wraith Invaders, I only make one and fill it with Pavium, a sniper squad, and a hunter squad. 7. Pavium hero unit has a Y ability, which slows units and reduces their armor. Good to use in combination with Rain of Fire to keep units from fleeing the Rain of Fire area. 8. Burnout's final upgrade doesn't really expand the circle that much, but it can be helpful to keep from accidentally applying it off center of the base and missing a building. 9. Mini bases are great for Mega Turrets. 10. His mines are *NOT* cloaked. So good places to put them are on top of teleporters or where you expect an army to get dropped off with Shipmaster's teleport or any of the UNSC leaders' Pelican transport. But even if they get shot by units, they can still work as an early warning alarm for an incoming force. 11. Keep using Burnout every time it's ready. This is how you're going to get to those upgrades faster than your opponent. 12. Pavium hero unit can take a hell of a lot of damage if you put him up in a garrison tower. The tower next the light bridge on Sentry is a great spot for him.

I truly think what makes pavium so good is burnout in the early game always makes you good in the early game with economy and lich vanguard is the best leader ability in the game so he’s really good in the late game, but in the mid ogame he kinda stalls out until you get lich

Burn out does actually speed up upgrade time, it won't speed up building build time though Also locusts are a really good option for the bubble that comes with the lich, they'll help take out a base quickly if you know the enemy's army is across the map

The other nice thing about spawning Locusts is that their long range means you can immediately move them away from the fighting and keep damaging the base.

I've been on a week long winning streak in 1v1 with Pavium. My formula is to go for an early Jump Brute rush, just enough to kill a bunch of resource buildings and put them on the back foot, then transition into turtling and regularly use Orb Des in combination with Lich to hit the backside of faraway bases and kill a bunch of buildings without needing to send any units away from a defensive posture.

@@DarkangelJSB Not really. I've had people quit immediately after the game starts, but other than that everyone who stays in the game stays in until it's obvious I'm about to kill their last base.

I Love playing as this guy, Ever since he came out he's been one of my favorites. Sadly though, I don't like playing as him as much as I do Decimus, Forge, or YapYap. Still really fun, and if you know what you're doing he can, REALLY Dicifer Team wars.
