personally I think the best bandit loadout is either primary (whip makes it easier to feed kills to your special thanks to dealing damage evenly across a crowd, so it's my go-to, though the rifle is really good at simply dealing damage so it's really up to personal preference), flashbang, and lights out. Flashbang increasing damage taken by enemies as you attack makes lights out easier to proc, and lights out lets you maintain constant uptime on the stink cloud, and the fact that it works on bosses is frankly absurd. Additionally, I've found that because of his special's "land this as a killing blow to snowball to unreasonable levels of power" gimmick, he synergizes very well with chip damage items like chargefield generator or gasoline or really anything of the sort so long as you keep an eye open for the right time to shoot. Flashbang lets him keep drones alive very well, too, so picking up one or two couldn't hurt (though be careful they don't steal your kills)

yeah I don't use FB as much but whenever I do it's always with lights out so I can have it up more, that damage bonus may not seem like a lot at first but oh boy it is, and combined with some backup mags so you can spam dynamite into it? great times to be had

Bandit has always been such fun, but I only really got to loving em since RoR2, one of these days I really ought to play some more OG bandit

Another red that I think is particularly good with Bandit is Hit list, as he has very little trouble focusing and dealing with the marked enemies. Ol' Lopper is also pretty good for giving you a little more leeway with your revolver, but ancient scepter accomplishes the same result.

Just beat my first Bandit Run (only ever played on monsoon no relics). All secondary kit. I prefer standoff for no particular reason other than because I am not good at spamming cooldowns with the primary Ult. And on the first stage it is a consistent enough way to get bonus damage to kill the boss quickly. SmokeBomb is incredibly busted and is really good at effectively immunizing yourself to melee and allowing you to actually take advantage of your Whip's "pierce" and let your on death procs light everything up. Whip is nice because bandit doesn't really have a source of pierce otherwise so it allows bandit to clean up hordes of enemies which he wouldn't be able to do otherwise without either getting really good at Bandit's kit or without really good items. Best item in that run was Red whip because letting me zoom across the map to find the Teleporter as fast as possible and check last minute for any items likely saved the run. I've been beating Runs once each before moving on to the next character. It took upwards of 100 times to beat my first run on Monsoon with Commando (me learning the game and deciding on preferred kit). Only died 15 times with Huntress before winning. Died about 25 times with Enforcer, and I died 35-ish times with Bandit. I hope HAND-D is nicer to me on that front as each the more close-up I get with the enemies, the more I die.

The true way to play bandit is use standoff and pray nothing spawns infront of your target while he slowly pulls out his gun and when something does inevitably spawn in front and you lose all your stacks you go cry Also flashbang sucks outside of multiplayer and even there its worse than smokebomb since if your teammates wanted to not be attacked they should have obviously killed the enemies :)

REAL, Standoff is secretly just crying sim lmao, though I personally don't think flashbang is that bad, certainly no smokebomb but I've had some nice pop-offs with it

@hasteow-hm3im bandit can be tricky in 1, but I think they're all good, RoR1 is also just a bit tricky to learn on its own especially if you're coming from a later game
