It's amazing to me how defensive drills invariably hyper focus on digging driven balls, yet in actual matches it is incredibly rare for a defender to actually dig a driven ball, and far rarer still for that dig to get turned into a point. Meanwhile. dozens and dozens of shots and dinks and deflections drop all over the court, all match long.

I'm not sure about that... In last game my team had at least 10 saves in 5 sets. It is about making a little progress in every segment of the game. Beside that, these drills help us to improve speed, agility, readiness.... which helps us improving every other element! Thanks for the comment! 👍🏐
