Yeah, the guitar work on Big Log is amazing and timeless. It's the kind of guitar work that "opens doors" and if you listen takes you places. Robbie Blunt is truly criminally underrated.

Best Plant album. Robbie Blunt is one of the reasons I picked up guitar. My grandfather was a bluegrass musician, and I played this song for him on tape, shortly after this album was released. I remember seeing his eyes light up instantly from the first notes. His "reaction" was "that is some mighty fine picking there"..

Thanks for doing this song. I’ve loved ‘The Principle of Moments’ and ‘Pictures at Eleven’ like no others since I first was introduced to them in the early 1980’s. Robbie Blunt’s playing is incredibly creative and complex, while not being flashy.

Thank you for this! I've always loved this song. My best friend and roommate from my teens, who's life was tragically lost in a car wreck, loved this entire album. I've learned this as a tribute to our youth and the time spent just setting and listening these great old songs.

Plant's guitarist on his first few solo albums was amazing. It was really cool that Plant didn't just fill the spot with a Page~ish player, but went in a different direction. I have all his solo albums on Vinyl, including the Giant 45 (LP sized 45 with this song on it).

Robbie seems to have some Peter Green influence in his playing. It matches the ethereal eeriness of Plant’s voice. Well played.

Thank you for this. I play my acoustic 90% of the time and when I do pick up my electrics I usually have too much distortion and effects and just bang away. This helped me to get back to playing with a clean electric tone and slowing down and making every note count. Also make all the spaces between notes count. Thanks!
