The petite part of the rant was a bit weird considering the team also has is mostly women in the 5'7" (Batgirl, Catwoman, Hadley) or 5'8" (Question, Poison Ivy) range. Hell, Huntree is 5'11" - nothing petite about her. Canary is like the only one you could call petite (5'4", about 130 lbs).

Jump is amazing. Did a game online a few weeks ago where I was playing a Eldritch Knight and the GM tossed goblins on multiple tiers (cliffs) at us. Each cliff was about 10 or 15 feet high. So everyone was trying to shoot while the Gobbos have full cover. I'm looking at my spell list, squinting, and notice 'Hey, I have Jump!' I cast it, and leap up there, and Action Surge, and I got to boot toss them down to the party to murder-stab. It was great. :)

I’m surprised he ignored the 5th Level spell Destructive Wave for Magical Secrets. Sure, the radiant/necrotic half of the damage pool is not quite in character (though maybe call the necrotic damage your eardrums bleeding), but it’s a thunder damage spell that deals a total of 10d6 damage and knocks people prone. How is that NOT something Black Canary does? It makes Shatter sound like a popcorn kernel popping.

In the lore, killing isn’t her thing. I would have bailed on Bard many levels earlier and gone more Monk. She was trained by Lady Shiva, after all, and can take on every member of Young Justice in hand-to-hand combat, no screaming required. Superboy isn’t being put on his ass by a Bard with lvl 1 martial arts is all I’m saying.

For another slightly less lore-exact version of the build, you might go with hexblade Warlock. Charisma to hit and damage, use a dagger if you need to. Use that medium armor proficiency. 2 more spell slots for screaming, recovered on a short rest Use shield spell to block attacks with your voice. Use your voice to make enemies brittle (hex curse)

Episode 291 of the Fire Emblem stats: Dinah Lance. She's great at brawling and riding (motorcycles specifically) of course. As for her famous sonic scream, I'm going to count it as wind magic, and thus she's good at reason as well. Her only weakness is faith due to otherwise not being very diverse in her magic. Her magic stat is her best attribute, followed closely by her dexterity. Her only not-good stat is her speed and that's only because she doesn't exactly need it.

Did you consider using Sorcerer or the Meta Magic Adept feat for the Transmute Spell metamagic? 1 sorcery point and any fire, lightning, acid, or thunder damage can be turned into any other type on that list...so a Thunderball? Maybe?

Great video. I loved it. You also gave me some cool inspiration for a Martial Bardist subclass. This is not in any way a critique of the video, just me sharing this thought. Take College of Swords Bard. Exchange the Bonus Proficiencies ability with Unarmed Defense (10+Dex+Cha). Replace the Fighting Styles with the Unarmed Fighting style but you can use Dex or Str. Allow the Flourishes to be done with Unarmed Strikes. Add in a "ki empowered strikes" ability at 6th level. This is all coming right out of my brain at this very second, and so I don't know have anything for the theme or names of abilities yet. I'm also unsure if the Unarmed Fighting Style should just be a whole different ability in itself....something like: "Your unarmed strikes can deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6, and you can use Dexterity instead of Strength for the attack and damage rolls of your unarmed strikes. If you aren't wielding any weapons or a shield when you make the attack roll, the d6 becomes a d8. When you use the Attack action with an unarmed strike on your turn, you can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action. The damage die of this bonus attack is 1d4." Maybe? I dunno. Might just keep it as the Unarmed Fighting Style, I just feel that the 1d4 to grapples doesn't fit the feel of this.

Okay. Haven't seen Birds of Prey so I'm going to mostly be using my knowledge from other sources, like the Justice League animated series. Race: Variant Human Background: Soldier (from what I've heard she had training with the same people as Batman, but that might just be White Canary from Legends of Tomorrow, correct me if I'm wrong.) Stats: #1: Charisma: One of the comments mentioned a bard related joke so I'm guessing Bard will be a class so high Charisma. #2: Probably Strength: She's no superhuman but can kick some serious butt. Honestly I don't know much about the character so low effort here of Int, Dex, Con, Wis. Class(es) - Whispers Bard: Like I said above, one of the comments says "bards of prey" so I'm going with her being a bard, whispers bard for the assassiny vibe, plus this get's Thunderwave which will be used as an A.O.E. sonic scream. Fighter: Because she fight's good. Maybe Warlock for some Eldritch Blast screams but I don't know. Okay Tulok, show me the Tiefling Paladin/Artificer/Barbarian. Quick edit: Here's to another 150 True Strike builds added to the list after today. Probably closing in on 1,000 at this point.

@@dopeyiceman it's been a running theme for a year. Basically Tulok's been intentionally putting True Strike on builds with casting because it ticks off people who gatekeep in the D&D community. Over time, it's evolved in to his chance to call out people for being awful in the comments and clarify that if they're terrible people he doesn't want their viewership and to go somewhere else.

Picture a jolly but deadly Viking with wings. I hope you know who Kirk, Spock, Troi, and Mary Poppins are. The Reverend Doctor Syn was a Church of England Vicar who moonlighted as a smuggler. He'd been a brilliant seminarian, a terrifying pirate captain, a deadly swordsman, and the main source of employment security in the Romney Marsh. He disguised himself as monster Scarecrow. He made his horse glow in the dark too. Out of his disguise he looked like a sweet little grandpa dressed as a priest of the Church of England circa 1790.

Winifred Sanderson could be any class with Otto's Irresistible Dance by your description. Maybe a Phoenix Sorcerer to come back from being burned. If Prince Vulcan is like a viking, just make him a barbarian. Easy. If he can fly, go for the Eagle Totem subclass. Kirk and Spock are very difficult to imagine because they aren't exactly known for their feats of combat or magic and more for being leaders and intellectuals. I think Kirk would be a Battle master Fighter with maneuvers that can help other people, unarmed fighting style and a few levels of Artificer. Spock would be a Mastermind Rogue with a few levels of Artificer as well. Mary Poppins is, I think, the only one of those that Tulok might make one day. Definitely a bard of some kind, as she lives in a musical. Doctor Syn looks like a Swashbuckler Rogue with levels of Conquest Paladin so he can intimidade people and conjure a magic horse.
