Am I missing something? This just seems like Klondike with all the cards face up in the second and third tableaus.

There are over 1,000 different "solitaire" games using a deck or two of cards. While most of them share common similarities, like Klondike and Chinese, there are subtle differences between many of them that make them appear to be the same game, but they are not. The layout between Chinese and Klondike is similar but not the same, more cards are dealt to the tableau piles in Chinese, and there is a smaller stock and no waste pile in Chinese. Another main difference is when you move cards in Klondike from one tableau pile to another, all cards being moved must be in descending order and alternating color, whereas in Chinese, only the bottom card of a group of cards being moved must be one rank lower and the opposite color as the card it is being played onto and all cards on top of the card being moved are moved with it no matter their suit or rank. These differences are subtle but they do make it a different game. Give it a try, I would love to hear your thoughts on it after :)
