This makes a lot of sense as to why some games feel and get so chaotic compared to others that feel so straight-forward and controlled. Thanks for the high quality content!

I hope this gets a million views. I recently started playing adc and it INFURIATES ME when people refuse to swap lanes no matter how much I ping or beg in chat. Now I have to sidelane as Ashe and choose between hemorrhaging cs or inting to get the wave. It's a lose-lose scenario.

I think that if you really wanna grow your channel to appeal to a larger audience you should level up your editing, it will make the videos visually more engaging which is super important considering that your content is concept heavy. Just my two cents in the matter. Love U Curtis I learned A lot from ure content over the years and I hope that more people tune in to bbc and ure channel to grow as a league player (Sorry for my low quality English btw)

just something I want to tack on, there are big advantages to playing certain champions for this specific skillset. A champion like Irelia or Yone have so much sidelane privilege that you have a lot more agency in making the decision on which lane to assign yourself to compared to a champion like Xerath Mid for example.

I see your point about beeing other side of neutral objektive when you got tp and playing yas for example. But what if you play a control mage like anivia or lux where it would be good to be first at drake? Shouldnt you be there 45 sec before it spawns to get river control even tho you got tp and could be top?
@dankreviews156023 күн бұрын
If you are in base as a mage and there is a dragon spawning in 60 seconds let’s say your sidelining toplaner has no tp and is bot, where he should be. If top is shoved you could deploy mid to secure prio then get drag with your team and depending on if someone shoved in top or not you could tp back to toplane to catch the wave. Or if top is shoved in you can deploy top and sit under tower to catch wave and play by ear if you will be taking dragon or not. Essentially lane prio is what determines your assignment in this situation. However there can be plenty of variables and your question isn’t specific enough.

the problem for me is that my champ (Xerath) is imo one of the worst sidelaners in the game if hes not strongsided, so i cant use many of these concept as i almost always lose 1v1 in a long lane and can be ganked very easily what should i do? bcs i dont really want to swap out of mid but my ADC also often wants mid

Okay then, what about the following scenarios: -No TP on the team (or on cooldown) -Our mid is Asol or Anivia, champs that REALLY dont want to sidelane against enemy assasins like Nocturne, Eve, etc. -We play a vulnerable ADC that needs to stay mid -Other players refuse to swap lanes

In scenarios like this, we catch shallow waves, and then play to group and fight around neutrals

Many games when I feel like I'm getting behind in the mid game, I feel like I know what lane I want to be in. Maybe it's cope, but someone else seems to keep taking it... So then I'm like, well I don't want to split farm/xp, but I don't have any good options..
@Star11954Ай бұрын
I often feel the same in a defeatist sort of way, where other people will run around not knowing what to do. I think this video says that you should be more confident and try pinging for other people to do something and hope they do. Even if they only do it 25% of the time, that’s 25% of the time where you’re both maximizing farm, meaning you’re more likely to win with just a few pings.

I don't want to come across as rude or anything but no offence, I feel like while what you are saying is technically good, I feel like there is a lot of assumptions on what team mates will do and it comes across as black and white, its almost as if you expect team mates to do you want you want a lot of time where I feel like in lower elos that is not true. For example with the mundo clip there is ZERO chance that he will go BOT if he is already top and can see farm. So to ping to go bot is good sure, the actual chance he does it almost zero. Its the same with ADCS who have already taken out the enemy bot tower but refuse to rotate anyway for a long time, If I go bot and ask them to move, we will just end up sharing the xp bot with the poor support having to deal with the mid farm and 1v2. I say this because I feel like a lot of people are going to watch this video, do what you said and ping, the team mates will not do it and they will probably get tilted and maybe even tilt their team mates. There needs to be more clarity on what to do if they just outright refuse, are we duoing bot with the ADC until they maybe move? and leave mid open? Do we forget about them and just stay mid anyway? What is the plan there? Because this WILL happen in LOWER ELOS, you can't just make up an excuse and say "well I guess the games over anyway". Do you see what I mean or am I being a schizo?
@64TalonАй бұрын
It’s pretty simple on what to do if the other person refuses to go to “the correct lane” if you’re a solo laner. You go to the empty lane where you can maximize your gold and xp. If there isn’t one, then go where you can get the most gold and xp. It’s all about maximizing your income while trying to be in the best position to fight over objectives. Hope this helps bro!
@buildbobvsbobduilder9303Ай бұрын
@@64Talon Ok sure, but if the enemy team has a high threat jungler and the ADC stays bot for example, me going to the empty lane is not going to stop that high threat jungler wanting to kill that ADC who is probably over extended.
@geli95usАй бұрын
Simple, you communicate the best play to them, and if they don't follow it, you adapt and do something else instead, in this case, ping mundo to go bot and if you see him moving bot or basing, then you know to go top yourself, if he doesn't, then you go bot. Your teammates aren't pieces for you to control, they aren't always going to listen to you and you shouldn't expect them to, but communicating the best play is always better than not communicating it, since it allows you to influence their behaviour some percentage of the time, that's a net positive.
@ThreadNeedle222Ай бұрын
Trying to not place expectations on your teammates will help with frustration. A lot of people will already have an idea in their mind of what they think is the best thing to do in a scenario. With the Dr. Mundo clip, the Hwei wasn't communicating lane assignments at all. It starts after the drake, Hwei should ping OTW to mid to cover when Draven is dead, and ping Dr. Mundo bot. Failing to do so here was the crucial mistake. If we communicated as soon as Draven died , Mundo might've gone bot which would be the best lane for him. There's a chance that your team won't listen, but that's when you have to adapt. In that case, I would just recall and go straight top to my lane assignment. Communication is the first step
@buildbobvsbobduilder9303Ай бұрын
@@geli95us Ok heres my take. It is not my job to deal with the enemy top jayce. It's Mundo's. If I need to be at a fight, but I can't because mundo decided to take my lane assignment, in this specific game we have a high probability of losing. Hwei should not go bot. Hwei would have to either push with Mundo and pray he TP's bot. I would say Hwei could potentially roate mid before draven gets low and dies but I think that's unrealistic. The point that I'm trying to make is that the adaptability in these situations when they don't listen should have been a key factor into this video.

Another concept video with very bad examples. Or another cover-up video for AI-bots? Or for players with some kind of AI-assistant for game, which tells them where to go for maximizing profit? It really looks like the continueation of "Backtracking" video - Instead of analyzing what went wrong including the "unsolvable" situations - your allies doing really bad plays, you must find little mistakes in your gameplay and link whole situation for those mistakes. 9.03 and 18.55 - Is that tab on the top-right side of the screen showing "Team gold VS enemy team"? Shouldnt that exact information (gold of enemy team) be considered "cheating/3rd party programms" because there are no ways of obtaining that information in game? Or is it allowed?
@Star11954Ай бұрын
I have never heard of any sort of “AI assistant” for someone to cheat with in terms of telling them which lane to farm. Wouldn’t someone rather use scripts to just auto win rather than bother with something like that if they’re going to cheat? Also- if you look at the text right above the team gold text, you can see “replay.lol”. A quick google search shows that it’s a website that takes your league replays and analyzes them after the fact. So, his client used the service and then uploaded that replay for Curtis to see for more information. He did not have those values ingame, but after, which is perfectly fine because you can in fact do that in the base client! Please take 1 second to actually understand what you’re watching before throwing out “AI” buzzwords.

This is all BS. The matchmaking system will make sure you are at and around 50% win rate. It doesn't matter what you do. It will ensure you will win some games after lose streaks. Just have fun and do whatever you want in the game. Try it for a week. Your win rate will be exactly the same. Very simple way to test this is just stay in same lane entire game and do your best to farm. It doesn't matter what you do. The game algorithm has decided that you must play 200 games before you reach your rank, and if you are playing so good, it will ensure to place you with 4 dogs.

And Riot decides ur Rank? :D so after 100 Games, what decides WHO goes Diamond and who goes Silver, of Not Ur Skill lvl? I mean, i agree to ancertain degree, that Riot can influence the Level of Play by autofilling etc, but to say that u dont have any Agency over the outcome is BS...
