The solos from Royal Albert Hall represent some of Eric's best. Awesome job!

It’s nice but it’s too much of him and no explanation of the lesson.

@@Braglemaster123 Hey. It's hard to tell in which way you learn more, tabs + explanation or this way. With this approach I'm forced to pay more attention to the nuances of the lick and I must transcribe by myself on tab with note duration and timing. Slower process but probably it sticks more in my memory. Blues on!

If you need explanation you probably aren’t on this level, at this stage of playing you’re given something and thank the lord it’s a service he’s doing for us

I slowed the tab to the lowest at 0.25% to get the patterns. It is going to be a daily exercise to get the alternate picking speed up, on the machine-gun fast triplet, at 4:41. Start slow to get the plectrum attack, on the beat and work it up. I know it can be done. Years ago, when I was 14, my bass teacher taught me a similar speed triplet with my index and ring, fingers. It seemed at the time, I would never get there. Suddenly, I recall the moment, the flurry locked in perfectly. The rhythm was solid. I was very surprised actually, and few bassists can get it that neat and perfect over 2 strings. Getting the plectrum to move at the 4:41 speed is going to take me awhile, but I know it can be done with daily repetition gradually get the speed to move up, until it locks. Thank you for this great lesson.

I always come back to this one. Want to really solo in D? This is it. Look at the flurry speed lick phrasing. Then the space, the attack, the layback. Perfect intonation. Great suggestion from the person, who brought it. How about if I dare ask, the EC soloing of I’m So Glad from the LA Forum off of Goodbye Cream? That would be visually stunning and very informative.
