No need to thank us! It's no wonder you get so much positive feedback, since your videos are very high quality. You deserve a lot more subscribers and views, but sadly the people I shared it with don't seem to care a whole lot... maybe once you branch out into more "advanced" D&D content, you will gain more exposure. I will stick with you to see that happen!

I've played DnD for about 2 months already and had 8 sessions, also acted as a DM for 2 sessions. Though we follow rules of some are homebrew and others are old concepts, you're videos gave me a clear understanding of most concepts and it was insanely helpful. Kudos and more power!

Thanks a lot for these videos. I'm playing for the first time ever tomorrow, in less than 24 hours, and I've been looking for tutorials all week. Most have been helpful, but yours were the best I found. You explain everything very well, in simple terms, and with great visuals that make understanding the concepts and mechanics that you're explaining easier. I can't wait for tomorrow, it's going to be super exciting! I don't know if you'll ever see this, but I really needed to thank you for how helpful all of this was.

thank you a hundred, thousand, million times over for this! this series was invaluable in learning DnD, the animations and organization makes learning so much easier. i'd tried reading the player's handbook on my own before this and, while i understood most of it, i still found myself confused with dice rolls and numbers, and there was just so much to read and memorize at once. your visuals to accompany your explanations made the rules a lot more memorable. u rock, dude

Thank you for creating this series. I invited the other players to check the playlist of the series as we are all beginners (me included, and I proposed myself to be their DM). I took notes across the 6/7 videos and I'm intending to share them with the other players to help them even more. In the meantime I got plenty of ideas for my campaign and I'm looking forward when we can finally get started. Thanks again for making D&D more accessible than ever and good continuation. ^^

Not a DM, but I am the most knowledgeable about the game in my humble group of five absolute beginners. After talking to one player about "No, Changeling Barbarian does not mean Crab Knife Meme," I've decided to order everyone (including the DM) to watch the whole series, including the How to Dungeon Master chunk (especially the DM). Rewatching this clarified so many things I didn't even think were incorrect. Thanks a whole lot for this great series! It's a must-watch for people wishing to get interested in DnD

Later today I'm going to GM a game with some friends that have also never played, so that should be fun. Dont forget to give valid reasons for your dm to multiclass It isnt easy but you have to try One of the best reasons are themes I have some multiclass ideas based off of so many inspirations Like how i got very inspired by jason todd from dc comics Aka the former 2nd robin who was a very serious foil to batman and his questionable moral code So i made a hexblade warlock oathbreaker paladin inspired from jason todd Another idea is a veeeeeery 5 animal style kung fu themed character where they are a monk and moon druid Then finally my personal fave recently Artillerist artificer with battlemaster fighter Heavy inspiration from black rock shooter You just got to be very creative with your multiclass possibilities

Just starting to play again since 2nd ed. So when you level, are you allowed to choose which class you raise a level or must it be the newest class? I seem to recall in 2nd ed that once you took up a new class, you could only keep the hit points but no skills/abilities of the previous class until you "caught up".

At 2:22, I'm still wondering why it's 5+2+1. 5 for the average of a d8 2 for the constitution modifier BUT why is there a +1 Racial??? It should only get 7hp when leveling up. I know there is feats for more HP and stuff like that but nothing of that is mentionned here. Is there a mistake here by any chances or something I missed? The whole part on gaining HP has this random +1 RACIAL.

Here is one tip if you want survivability as a full caster without healing Start 1 level of life domain cleric to ger heavy armor, cure wounds, bless and 1 other cleric spell Then if you heal yourself with cure wounds you will get at least 2-4 hp minimum The rest you go all the way in the spellcaster class of your choice Dont forget to not invest in wis Invest in cha or int for some casters instead Since multiclassing has required minimum stats It doesnt hold the same for starting as that class You can be a cleric with not much wisdom but is intelligent, so they go wizard

What do you think of multiclassing in 5e I think the cons out weight too much to the pros. I could be a good wizard\cleric and help my party with both healing and damage but I really worry I won't be able to do much damage if I focus in one class but also not enough healing from the other. Later down the line when you fight even stronger and harder monsters it's hard making decisions like that cause the dam usually scales all the monster and encounter to the party's current level or group dynamic.

No man is an island. The emphasis for specializing is a feature rather than bug in d&d. You are supposed to let others cover your weaknesses.
@legendarydigitize2523
@legendarydigitize2523 4 жыл бұрын
It depends on your build Yes you will miss out on some peak features but it isnt that bad as most classes are generally front loaded a lot of each class' best features are early levels Some domains for cleric allow free heavy armor proficiency Starting as fighter automatically gives you proficiency with any armor plus a fighting style like defense, that boosts ac by 1 when wearing armor, con save proficiency(very important for maintaining concentration) and even an emergency self heal using a bonus action Again it depends on your build dont get too discouraged
@legendarydigitize2523
@legendarydigitize2523 3 жыл бұрын
If you want a spellcaster with armor proficiency Start 1 level of fighter and then any full caster Since fighters get all armor proficiency and even martial weapon proficiency if ever Even better since you get fighting style at level 1 fighter And also second wind for an emergency self heal

Warlock's spell slot is treated differently and arent part of the multiclass spell slot table So if i were a level 18 paladin and then level 2 warlock I count as a 9th level caster right? So that means i only ever have 1 level 5 spell slot...

If you're a level 5 and your proficiency bonus is now +3, what does that mean? Can I add 3 to something Im proficient in? Can I distribute it? I've looked all over the place and can't find a straight answer. Also, when you level up, do you get an additional spell slot? I've been reading the book but can't make heads or tails of the explanation.

@@crankyartist111 your proficiency bonus grows in a fixed manner as you level up Once it goes up a value you adjust your proficiencies accordingly Example Let us say you are proficient in strength saving throws and athletics skill Then your pb turns from 2 to 3 So instead of your athletics being +5(3 str mod and 2 pb) It now becomes +6

If you are multiclassing 2 full spellcasters there is a universal spell slot guide as you reach certain levels If you are a half caster for one of your multiclass Your growth is 1/2 instead For example, if i were a paladin multiclass where it is level is 18 My spell slots would equal to a 9th level caster instead There is even 1/3 casters So example if i were an eldritch knight fighter level 18 i count as a level 6 caster
