When Hispania was defending against the green cubes (around the 13 min mark)...shouldn't his six dice have been doubled to twelve dice since he was defending his territory with a fort built in?

This looks really interesting! What would you recommend for someone that is an experienced board gamer, but who doesn’t have any historical/war game experience outside of Twilight Struggle?

Really any of our games would work, what time period are you interested in? WWII I would recommend our block game Holdfast Eastfront, pre-1900 I would suggest Hold the Line for a tactical battle, while for strategic any game in our Blue & Gray Series or our American Revolution Series. Thank you so much for the recommendations! History is a new interest to me believe it or not, so I'm devouring up whatever I can - typically a game will drive me to dig into the history behind it. Holdfast and Hold the Line both look cool for different reasons. I need to check out the Blue & Gray series more. I followed the most recent Chesapeake Kickstarter but backed out because I wasn't sure on the combat style, nor if that would be a good place for me to jump in at. I'm sure I'll regret it as I become more familiar with the system.

Ok, fucking cubes for units in 2018 ? For real? Seriously ? Yea , no way, i am not buying this. This was a kickstarter, no one can convince me they didn't got enough funding even for some cheap low detail miniatures....What a joke....

A game should not be about the visuals but about the gameplay. There are a lot of good looking games which are rubbish in terms of gameplay.
