The evolution of Siege's gadgets makes me laugh. It started off with the most advanced thing being a device that zapped grenades when others had just a hammer or a car battery, then you get walking holograms and remote hacking drones.

another tip for kapkan is to account for the fact that everyone uses guns right handed, so foot-level EDDs are much harder to see on the right side even when not ADS, assuming people are going into that doorway focused far ahead or even better if they are focused on the left

A counterpoint to your criticism of ela is that fenrir is constantly banned and lesion and kapkan traps in doorways are often easily shot or destroyed with grenades. An ela trap can be a difficult destroy/easy to hide counter for teams that either play extremely fast or passively. I think ela is still niche, but less so than you described.

I think she might be fun to play but with so many nerfs I would just bring another character since for me lesion is a good flex character not needed but good if you have him plus I would argue thorn Is better character than Ela doing similar thing but it can kill you if not making you run away from it elas gadget like he said is just a slap in the face just a small annoyance even if they hit it you might not even win the gunfight being a very active gadget to play of of if your not peaking immediately as the gadget activates the effect has been cleared and the nerf from 3 to 2 speed makes her less viable to play more agreeably like you use to for me the gadget has just been left as a huge audio to know where an attacker is at

I am a big Gojo player, something you did not mention about him is you can place his traps on breakables like doors as once the door is destroyed they explode automatically. So, placing them on critical windows and doors you can really stall great amounts of time

You didn't mention that goyo can put his spicy lunchboxes onto baracaded doors and windows and when breached by the attackers it auto goes off so even less micro managment.

Hey Gregor, I'm a unranked siege player doing solo quick play, always trying to find gadget interactions and other cool aspects and angles of the game. You were a serious inspiration for the way that I play the game when I started playing in Wind Bastion, I am a Monty main that uses him to learn about gadget interactions in live matches, and I still get surprised by new things as new ops come out. I appreciate your operator videos, and most of the non-mechanical gameplay tips you get, instead of the basic stray Valk cam lineup or throwing a c4 into a gap the size of a 2x4. Mostly people show tricks that apply to certain locations or areas in the game, I enjoy that you have a different approach to the "how to" section of siege content.

Great video. One thing to note is that Vigil cloak works on Lion too. So if enemy has Vigil, i personally cant trust Lion scans and prefer to swap. On other side, when people pick Lion into my Vigil, it gives the option for some interesting plays😁

52:00 - Fun fact: if you put the Kaid on the underside of the grate in front of the reinforced wall there (mind you, in the VERY furthest corner closest to the wall), that also electrifies the whole wall. Sneaky spot that would specifically need a brava or twitch to get to, and can't be impact EMP'd or Thatcher EMP'd unless they knew to throw it through the drone hole.

Mute Oregon tip, if you move the first one to the other side of the rotate under the window, if Kapkan traps that door it won't take out your jammer, and you might be able to jam a Fuse on that window (not sure on that one). Also for Master, put the jammer on the right side in the closet behind the door frame so it can't be shot

At first I was like WOW this is a LONG video. Ill be honest the more it went on, the more I was into watching it. You speak quickly, and clearly and packed a TON of information into this video. As someone who is newish to siege(less than 100 hours) over 7 years, this was INCREDIBLY helpful. I am really starting to enjoy R6 lately. Players are still verbally toxic but this game isn't nearly as bad as it once was with team killing and random kicking of players. This game was a toxic players paradise but lately I feel like its in a better place and NOW I feel like its my time to shine and learn this game. This video has made it INCREDIBLY fun for me. ela's mines are probably best utilised for audio (and shield) denial, youre pretty much completely deaf besides your ears ringing when you trigger the grzmot, so itd be best to take advantage of their inability to hear your audio cues while they're concussed. im sure theres also very particular situations where you can use it to deny plant without risk of walking into someone's cross

I've said it before, i'll probably say it until the game gets shut down, Blackbeard's shield should have been hanging off the bottom of his gun, not on top. Then it can have a high durability and basically become a "can you click the head" check of an operator for the opponent while you still have body protection. Hell, make it half of a shield op's shield and you now have something resembling a niche

I feel like an Defence operator who has a bag like rook, but instead of it being full of armour plates its the refill box from T-Hunt. You get extra ammo and 1-2 extra gadgets from it. Think this would be cool. Maybe just 1 extra gadget though, i can imagine 2 being way too op for some operators

Idk if anyone has said this. BUT you CAN counter a dokkabi call by standing on or near a mute jammer. If your in radius before the call your phone won’t go off. But if your outside of radius and it goes off walk threw the jammer and it stops the call with no phone animation. 👍

The Ela nerf that I understood the least was when they nerfed her gadget, especially by removing the screenshake. I used to be an Ela main and that was my favourite part since it was basically a free kill when they hit the trap. Ela's high pickrate was never because of her gadget, it was because of her gun and her speed, so nerfing her gadget was the worst thing they could have done. I just wish they'd revert the change on her gadget

I must say tubarao DMR with the silencer is surprisingly easy to control. He is the ultimate 1v1 op (besides cheesy ass Fenrir). Very hard to win against him. He and azami are like the best flex ops on defense by far

Another usage for Azami is to block up important windows on Plane. Kali and Glaz can not shoot through them. Couple her with Rook, and defenders have almost completely shut down the snipers
