A most wonderful video/session! For me, it’s always a goal to feel like one owns the passage vs just charging through it and ignoring the bumps in the road! And I agree….taking this approach is fun! Thank you!!!

Thanks so much! Sometimes I just get so bored by playing it by the metronome haha! (Although it’s crucial!!) But to do things differently, that works as well!

Thank you for the helpful tips. I'll definitely try to apply these techniques to my practice. I have a quick question about slow practice. What is the best way to slow practice a passage with long slurs? Is it acceptable to use a different bowing when practicing these passages, or should I try as hard as possible to stick with the bowing that I plan to use during a performance?
@keilaismerai6098
@keilaismerai6098 Жыл бұрын
I know I'm not him but i would recommend try using the same bowing you are planing to use during a performance. That way once you get faster you were already using the bowing you were going to use and not have to get used to it, if that makes sense. Hope this helps

Important topic to me, but perhaps having an inset of the bars you're playing would be of additional help. I have been starting at the end of a fast passage to try to learn it. Then the next measure back and so on.
