Happy to see the inclusion of the weird little moving in circles to keep momentum. Definitely something lower ranked players wouldn't think to do, but something I personally do a lot, at C3. Very nice to see pro play analysis, as well, but I got a little worried that you sort of blamed Scrub a lot for his play, and made it look like he 100% just stupidly misplayed. It was a good setup from Chicago, and very tough to defend. I think for me, it would have been nicer to hear a few more nice things about what put Scrub into this position. I'm generally very suspicious about non-pros calling out bad things pros do, because pros might still be doing the optimal thing with what they have, and still be forced into making a 50/50 judgment call. Also really nice how you just reference the wavedash or flip reset tutorials, instead of being the person to half assedly make and post another one for free views.
@CBellRL4 жыл бұрын
I agree that the RLCS analysis is certainly not the only solution or analysis that was there. I chose that clip because it was relevant and pointed out how his movements affected his subsequent play. It wasn't right or wrong for scrub because he made that decision and did it as quickly as he could, which is the only thing that matters in ranked, commitment to what you're doing. Thanks for the feedback and kind words Kabel!

Yo, CBell "aresto momentum" would be like "stop movement" so... "aresto subscribo"... not good bro, not good. Joke aside, great content. These days I've been playing with a lower rank friend, trying to teach him a few things, and something that he always mentions is how fast I move and recover. I've been trying to find a way to explain this to him, so thanks mate!
@JusticeExplorer4 жыл бұрын
Nice video bro, you deserve more subs. I'm an 1800, and this was still a great video to watch. I've been getting beat quite a bit recently, so this is quite a good reminder for me. Pretty much every time I get beat is because I end up putting on the brakes too much. I want to add tho that I feel like the circling on the wall isn't the greatest idea. In my opinion, it sort of risks putting you out of position; I do agree that it has it's uses, I just don't believe there are enough scenarios to use it in to actually be worth using. A good display of momentum conservation regardless.
@CBellRL4 жыл бұрын
thanks bro, its a little bit of an older video but still has its applications. thanks for the criticism and support
@theneighborsdog70874 жыл бұрын
I feel like you should have included some scenarios regarding dodging and wave dashing. I don’t have issues w it anymore but I used to use my dodge at the wrong time every now and then when I was in diamond which usually resulted in a 2v1 or a goal. Those 2 are very situational so I feel like it’d be beneficial to lower ranked players to get a guide on them.

Just found your channel and I am absolute loving the videos, the way you explain the stuff so it is easily understandable to all skill levels is really helping, I’ve always struggled to understand how some of tips/guide videos try to explain things. Very good video, surprised how you have such a low amount of subscribers. I'm only d3/c1 but I also think about keeping my momemtum a lot, I've been focusing on it a lot ever since I watch a Scrub stream and he said "Rocket League is a very circular game" to some lower ranks it might not mean much but that phrase holds so much truth to me it's impressive. Keep up the good work man, +1 subscriber :)

I feel like I'm able to get there and hit any ball I want, I just feel like I've been read every time. No matter where I hit it, it's immediately countered. No matter where they hit it, I'm usually countered. I can flail at it and mitigate it slightly, but it ends in way more goals.

I rarely comment on videos but this one deserves it, this practice helps so much. I doubted it until I tried it but when I did, it really helped me. Thanks so much for the great practice ideas, this is helping me break back into C1.

Thanks for the video Cbell. Enjoyed and looking forward to returning from my trip to put some momentum practice in. I have been feeling like God mode at my rank for only 2 days a week and feel like a bot the other 5. So it felt relatable when you described the difference in how you experience the game play with momentum or without.

Here's another tip: When braking, never come to a full stop unless absolutely necessary. Do this by not braking all the way down, or tapping your brake button. If you tap it, it's kinda like shifting speeds in a way.
