Hey, I went into playing DaD pretty blind and instantly made a fighter, and stuck to it as the main character, and being F2P, only having the fighter to play on without deleting everything, appreciate the builds! I was doing blind play and not having a good time in PvP as I was getting destroyed by everyone.

I really enjoy plate longsword fighter, but currently I'm testing dual wield with plate armour using the stiletto and mace for the 25% armour penetration. You only lost the damage on the stiletto but still gain dual wield perk and armour pen, so if you just swing the mace and not the dagger you don't feel the negative effects of weapon mastery

Hey I noticed you don't seem to run the shield mastery perk at all in your plate armor build, I don't know if you know but the text on it is wrong and it actually grants you 50% action speed to both your swings and blocking after a block. It's very essential imo.

Reach and I like the way the combos play out. Largely a dagger offhand adds armor pen and less move speed penalty so you can make it work 🍻

i love the slayer fighter, would you tell me how does the combo perk work? do you get the bonus damage on the 2nd hit or u have to hit twice to get the buff and only the third hit onwards has bonus damage? i think i heard someone say the 2nd hit already gets the bonus dmg but im not sure how it works.

If you traded out agi/ms gear rolls for PDR to go thicker you could definitely take sprint. Ive gotten my slayer to like 40% pdr if you put PDR/Armor on every piece.

A really strong one right now is kinda a weird mix of 3/5 tank and Slayer, where you take both the sword and dual wield perk but not Slayer, with a little more focus on movespeed for boots and strength for damage. A strong middle ground of decent speed, fairly high damage and fairly tanky. Really good in solo's in my experience so far.

Also side note, Slayer with Warhammer + Stilleto is insanely under rated right now. It's a bit slow on the swings, but if you get a lotta Dex and pop adrenaline, you can output absolutely fucking bonkers amounts of armor pen damage with the hammer.

Also, if you're gonna go full damage stacking, I'd honestly truly recommend Arming Sword over Falchion/Viking, only due to the huge swingspeed it has. The damage is lower on paper, but right right left with arming sword is so fast that you can often kill squishy classes right then and there.

3/5 plate is the safest of the builds in my opinion. It’s good against most and has the speed to chase or escape but all of these have budget versions with green/blue gear.

For anyone watching this, i wouldnt recommend using the viking sword on fighter its definitely one of your worst choice next to horseman's axe, Sobad uses it and iv never understood why, use arming sword or falcion for much better dps and swing patterns.

Armor penetration and high PDR makes you a tank rogue basically. I’ve seen it quite a bit I don’t know how strong it is relative to other builds though.

Situationally yes. Especially adrenaline rush if they have sprint. I beat most other fighters right now in sheer dps output. Sprint does nothing if you’re both trading blows at point blank.

Sure, it has its place especially with higher dex. A fake parry into a headshot usually smacks someone but overall i would use sword & board or two weapons with relevant perks.

They’re dramatically different classes but fighter goes pretty hard. A lot of people feel like fighter surpasses barbarian as the front line and thicker push class. Arguments for both but fighter if your new is a safer bet.

Longsword is a meme weapon unfortunately, it needs a bit of a rebalance - its actual dps output and swing pattern aren't great, because it has parry. I think weakening parry and improving its basic attacks would make the weapon much more viable.
