Bro, you're videos are always good, please consider some drum fills lessons for your old subscribers, that would be appreciated :) I"ve started learning finger drumming thanks to you.

Don't worry, I'll be coming out with new tutorials every week starting now! I want to provide more free lessons for people so I'll definitely be including some tutorials on drum fills at some point in the future!

Yes, drum fills lessons would be much appreciated :) The dragon finger videos are always very inspiring and motivating.

@@Paraclap indeed, I'm a guitarist who happens to play a little of drums, it's wasn't hard for me to play some rythms on the pad, I've got a Launchpad X, but I'm still can't figure how to chain with some simple fills. Good luck to you

@@hsider cool ! I'm getting back to it but with the dragon technique because I didn't really have a reference and I was going a little too much in all directions without really moving forward. good luck to you too !

Definitly two very different skills. I think the fundamental difference can been seen in the fact that the “live beat performance” style, as you call it, is usually set up with no (or limited) velocity sensitivity. For what you do, maximum velocity sensitivity is absolutely paramount. Just a technical detail that I think kind of illustrates how the two are different. I love both, myself. And I think both are totally viable ways to play the pads “like an instrument” - but they’re definitely two very different skillsets. 😁

Hi, with the 30 days course will I learn also rock, blues and jazz grooves?
@DragonFingerDrums Жыл бұрын
I don't teach specific genres in the 30-Day Foundation Course, it's all about the principles of finger drumming and how to develop an intermediate-level skill set that you can use to play any style of music. I do have a Hip-Hop Course that focuses on just the hip-hop style of drumming, and I will eventually make other genre courses for Jazz, Metal, etc in the future!

Hello @Dragonfingerdrums One question, what would be your setup pad to play? styles like heavy metal double kick or Drum&Bass? I have not seen any video playing these genres I'm curious if it is possible to reach that level soon I will subscribe to your course thank!! 🙌🏻
@DragonFingerDrums Жыл бұрын
Great question! My pad layout can be used to play any genre of music, including metal. I do have 2 kick drums on my pads so it's quite easy to incorporate into metal double kick drumming. I'll work on creating some metal finger drumming tutorials in the future! I walk through my full pad setup in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6PMhWmappVohdE

Quick question: Would an XSonic Xtone interface be compatible with the Maschine Mikro MK3? I’m looking to set up the rig before I purchase your course. Stellar content btw.
@DragonFingerDrums Жыл бұрын
What would you be using the XSonic interface for? The Maschine Mikro is just a MIDI controller for your computer, so it doesn't output audio or have any relationship to an audio interface.

@@DragonFingerDrums thanks for the clarification.

Just want to say that after I watched about 3 of your videos the other night, I got inspired and ordered a MK3 Mikro on the spot. Arrived today, and I love it already. I played drums off and on for years, but have not played for the past 6 years because I live in a space not congruent for drums. Thank you for the recommendation and inspiration! Awesome videos, and your skill is incredible.
